Ha! I am excited to see this series. It is based off the first explicit manga I ever read which I was shocked to love. LOL. Opened my mind at the time.

Just wanted to add that the final scene of the final episode is one of the most romantic things I've ever seen in a drama. I was literally laughing and crying at the same time. Like sun showers.

I think you are into BLs you just have your own taste. I also find certain things triggering (non-con and dubious consent as well as hyper-controlling behaviour) and I try to avoid them but BL dramas are literally rife with it. I like your list and I also liked My Beautiful Man a lot despite the itch under my skin for the first few episodes until we get the secondary point of view. There is no problem with trying to understand your own preferences and find good recommendations.

Great chemistry between the two leads couldn't distract me from the toxicity of the relationships (especially the second couple). Very strange drama TBH with bizarre plot points and only vaguely described motivations for the characters actions (not to mention the arranged marriage between young children).

Watched Blueming, Cherry Blossom's After Winter and this in the same week. They were all incredible but this was my favourite due to great chemistry between the leads, snappy pacing and great side characters too. I am solidly in the camp advocating for a second season. Not enough 'together' happy times in this very short season.

Moms seem to almost universally written as soul-sucking fiends living to torment their children and live through their accomplishments. In fact, middle aged women in general in Asian dramas are portrayed as hysterical and grasping people. It makes me really wonder because so many of the writers of these dramas are middle aged women themselves. What is going on?
