why are the subtitles awful
Truly Awful Subtitles. Seemed machine generated. But I felt lucky to even find a place to stream this series with English subtitles. I'm sure, say a Viki translation, would show that I missed quite a bit.

Review Married
Elvira Cai is one of my most favourite actresses. I think she's on another level. I hate series & movies where the ending isn't clear. Especially Chinese series that are longer than most other countries & we often barely get a snippet of resolution, once the conflict is overcome. Of course one never knows what the drama looked like before the censor made their edits. Anyhow it seemed to me that once he threw away the tie, that they would get back together, which I did not want to see happen. Profound , real, lasting change is massively difficult. I'm glad he didn't get the company back, as it was so toxic before his ex took over. If I was Ning Yu I would feel I could fully breathe with Qin Can. If she got back with her husband she'd have to be perpetually vigilant, especially as there is so many unconscious, negative patterns her ex learned from his father & he is just as likely to pass on unconsciously. At least the psychologically healthy Qin Can can balance the time Ning Yu's son spends with his father. I just don't understand why they didn't show the relationship between Qin Can & Ning Yu had moved a bit further along? A peck on the cheek? A hand on her arm? Dinner?

I'm laughing while I read your review. I'm with you 100%. I simply don't look for perfection in Asian Dramas, though there are notable exceptions, like Good Partners, Extraordinary Attorney Woo, Dr. Romantic, etc. that are tightly edited & coherent. But Dylan Wang is always a delight to watch. Totally agree about the luxury for Westerners of REAL Voices over dubbed.. CDramas are coming up in the world in terms of OST, but GOTD is exceptionally good & really upped my enjoyment of the series. Coincidentally, the last exceptional OST in the CDramas I've watched was Dylan Wang's "Miss The Dragon."
