Apparently there is a newly created form of genre:- The Fiction-Non-Fiction genreDefinition: It is not real but…
That means they are laughing right now because this doesn't concern them.

I was planning to watch this but well...It seems I am in the minority here judging from the comments so far. While…
Most people are annoyed by the fact that it reached this extent. They love their country and don't want any Chinese related content added to it. It's a very good thing to stand with your culture but the question is did they do it the right way. What they just did sent a message to people from other countries that they don't value themselve. A lot if people worked on this drama. From the cast to the crew. There are others who weren't paid enough or won't be paid bcoz of this. People are trying to earn a living during this vivid period that has crippled everything. I'm sure from the statistics it's mostly reach people that signed that petition. They should have been given a chance to correct thier mistake becoz they were ready to but the pressure became too much that sponsors pulled out and they couldn't. They culture they try so much to protect is slowly ruining the image people see in them. Let's not forget that there are other Koreans who wanted to watch this no matter what not all the population where for it to be cancelled. It was an inconsiderate decision because one, it only took a two days for this to be cancelled, there was no deliberation if some sort and the loss the company faced made alot of people lose thier jobs.

My main point is, is thier cultural history worth the livelihood of many of thier citizens. If it is then they just showed the world they couldn't care less what happened to themselves. Before this blew out of proportion, nobody noticed anything and everyone just enjoyed it. Now a lot of people are bashing thier history becoz of what they just did.

I'm sure China doesn't even know what is happening. They are meant to aim all this anger there. I guess culture is more important than thier citizens there. That's what they are trying to tell me.

Please don't sign the petition for it to be on Netflix. I was really excited for this drama too but the actors…
I think them apologizing is because of the pressure they faced and backlash they are receiving. To me there was no reason for them to apologise. The production team is where the apology should come from. I feel so bad for them, they even had to call themselves stupid and foolish.

So the writer of this drama is also the writer for Mr. Queen my goodness. I feel sorry for the staffs and cast…
The problem is the writer did his research because sbs explained the reasons for the Chinese props and this writer has written a lot if historical dramas so to think he didn't know his country's history is somehow. I just think he didn't know that seeing these props will push them to this level

Search up "Why koreans are boycotting “SNOWDROP” starring jisoo of Blackpink". And click on reddit. You will…
Will they risk loosing money and still go on with the drama? I will till the drama airs, if there are problematic scenes then they cancel it. It will be thier fault then.

The peoples in Korea that make complaints about this drama are not just from old generations LOLThe funny thing…
The writer then should have been penalized. What is problematic is they considered thier culture more important than the lives of thier own people. Is thier pride worth the damage they have caused?

Please, this matter concerns international fans. Why would they promote a drama outside thier country or sell to streaming platforms if they didn't want us to watch it. This decision hurt us too so we are allowed to voice our opinions. It might not change anything but we can't just agree with them in everything they do bcoz apparently it's thier country. They aren't they only ones in this world. Let's not forget the fact that some Koreans wanted to watch it but if they start thier own petition they will receive backlash which will lead to internal conflict. The fact is were they considerate of all parties involved. It is thier own people being affected. The money lost could have fed thousands of people and taken people off the street.
I don't support insulting them but they took things too far and it's the truth. It was an inconsiderate decision on thier part. People talk about different cultures everyday, we won't be going to other countries or interracting with each other if we keep overlooking this things. Is it when we reach episode 14 of a drama with two episodes left and it gets cancelled before we complain. It's good to defend your culture but when it affects people's lives negatively, will you keep going on? Culture is not important without people let's take note.

we knew for months that the story was based off real people in Korean history and how their characters might be.…
Thank you, they knew about it and read the synopsis of each character especially the king which the main focus is on. The story even said the king regretted his actions and took a stand to fight for his people. They didn't allow the story to progress to see how each character develops. It is just so sad

Now Knetz and reporters are saying that the actors of Joseon Exorcist and Mr. Queen should receive criticism along…
And some people say they are not overreacting. Even upcoming dramas are receiving warnings. It's the truth, knetz are too sensitive. I stand by my word.

The main cause of this problem is that Korea doesn't have official censorship laws. Not that i support it but it will be better so that people's hard work wouldn't be going to waste unnecessarily. Do they realize they are fighting among themselves. They should have resolved this matter a better way.

I feel the situation should have been handled differently. All this backlash is affecting them only, I'm sure the Chinese are secretly laughing at them. They could have stated the fact that they don't want any Chinese representation in any drama so that these writers will prepare themselves when writing the script of any drama. It's hard work these people put in producing these shows considering how sageuks are tougher to film.
They should instead try to defend the drama if any Chinese starts claiming that that scene means Koreans culture is from them since it has a valid explanation.
Regarding the representation of Korean figures, I don't get the complaints. Okay if they feel that the drama is ruining the bad images of thier former king then no drama should portray any historical figure because any representation of a Korean figure which isn't accurately true or documentary is an insult. I just hope the production team will be able to find a way out.

also don't see how ppl are angry about chinese influences when this show's literally acting as if colonizers are…
According to the story the demon they are trying to exorcise is a western demon so thier shamans won't work. The king even told his wife that if he knewthier shamans would work he would've used them. I feel the writer has a reason for bringing in Christianity.
