I have just finished watching the last episode and wow. I didn't think it could do it, but it ended up being just as incredible as the original, and even better in some aspects. The entire cast was superb, but I think I will never forget Heo Yool's performance. I really hope we see much more of her in the future. But seriously, this is fantastic, a masterpiece.

I'm considering starting this after I'm done with Mother (which is brilliant btw), but I'm daunted by the 90 minutes episodes. I think many dramas drag with the normal 60 minutes length, so I'm scared about being bored to death by this. Could anyone please tell me if this drags/gets boring at some point? Thank you in advance.

Look, I perfectly understand that, but again, I never said she was bad, I just said IMO Heo Yool and other child actors are better.

I don't, I always thought her performance felt a bit forced. I mean, I know she's a kid, but IMO there are much better child actors (Heo Yool here, or Suzuki Rio if we talk about Japan, for example).

The original drama is probably my favorite drama of all time, so I was definitely hesitant about this remake. I have decided to give it a chance, and 4 episodes in, so far so good. I don't like it as much as the original yet, but it has potential to become one of my favorite k-dramas. The one aspect where this one is 100% superior to the original is the child actress. Heo Yool is absolutely incredible, so much better than Ashida Mana. Can't wait to see how the rest goes.

So far I don't really have a problem with Joy, I've seen worse acting in other places. That being said, I completely agree with you about Moon Ga Young, I really hope this is a sort of break-out role for her and that it helps her get lead roles.

I'm surprised no one picked it up for subbing yet. Matsuyama Kenichi, Fukada Kyoko, Kitamura Takumi, a BL subplot, written by the screenwriter of Last Cinderella, Dear Sister and Jimi ni Sugoi... I thought this was surely going to be subbed. Hope someone kind enough will sub it soon :(

Second episode was a lot better IMO. They fixed the editing and bgm problems a bit, although not completely (I hope they fix it 100% starting next week). We saw a bit more of Joy, and I think she's doing alright. Not the best actress around, but certainly not the worst. I really like the main trio, and I have a feeling that Moon Ga Young will be the MVP in this drama. Also, I mentioned in a previous comment that cinematography is gorgeous, and I repeat that, but I also have to praise the set designing, which I think is just as beautiful. Lastly, I think I like where the story is going and I can't wait to see how it continues.

Oh, thank you for all the info. What caught my attention initially was the presence of Leo Wu and Lin Yun in the cast (I have seen them in a few movies), and then I watched the trailer and it looked really cool, and the VFX look pretty great. But I don't know anything about the source material.

The first episode was OK. Not great, but not as bad as some people are saying. I REALLY liked the characters played by Woo Do Hwan, Moon Ga Young and Kim Min Jae, and the cinematography is absolutely gorgeous. On the other hand, the editing was all over the place and the background music was really annoying and it never fit the scenes. About Joy, she did seem somewhat awkward, but we didn't see her much, and I feel like she will improve as the show goes on. In general I feel like the show has potential to be good, so I'll definitely continue watching for now.

Judging by the trailer alone it seems that they are focusing the adaptation on the drama, which really annoys me, because My Little Monster is one of the funniest shojo mangas around. At least it seems that Masaki Suda is going to nail the role as I expected (not so sure about Tsuchiya and the rest of the cast though...). Really hope the actual movie is more comedy than drama tbh.

I've never seen a C-drama before, but this one has really caught my attention. I don't know anything about how the C-drama world works, but I saw that this finished filming in July last year. Is it normal for a C-drama to take so much time to premiere after production ends? I mean, it's been like 8 months...

I'm surprised so many people here are saying they won't watch it because it's tagged as tragedy. I mean, the drama hasn't even started, it's literally impossible to know how it will end. My guess it's that it's tagged as tragedy just because it's based on Dangerous Liaisons, but I don't think we can know for sure that the ending will be the same...

Read somewhere that KBS2 is delaying this indefinitely because it was super expensive to produce and they don't think they can earn the money back without airing it in China, which seems unlikely as of now. If it's true it's a huge shame, I was looking forward to this very much :((((((

Well, the final rankings were rather disappointing, can't believe Jeup and specially Semmi didn't make it into the final groups. And the girls' group is quite messy IMO. I've really enjoyed The Unit overally, but I think I will stand the Mixnine group much harder since most of my faves made it into the top 9 and their original songs were so MUCH better than the ones in this (again, this is my personal opinion).

I didn't know if I should continue at the beginning because I felt the auditions were super boring, but I'm glad I didn't drop it. The choice of songs for the girls' Restart Mission was fantastic, and I can't wait to see the boys'. Plus, the performances seem 100% live, without MR or backtracks, which I REALLY appreciate. In general I'm liking this more than I expected.
