The developing relationship between the leads gives me Bok Joo/Joon Hyeong (from Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo) vibes and I'm loving it. Nam Shin III remains the absolute best thing about the drama, but I honestly feel like I'm the only one who likes So Bong. She's certainly not my favorite female lead, but I feel she's very human (as in realistic, with all her flaws) and refreshing, and has a lot of potential. I'm absolutely hooked and it's driving me insane that we're only getting one episode this week again.
So next week will it be one or two episodes? Have anything been said about that? I really can't wait for the world cup to end so that it stops messing with the drama schedules.
Someone who shares my feelings! I want more of him even if he continues acting like Nam Shin. I just love the…
I really hope that doesn't happen and that they find the happy ending he deserves! I don't care if people might think that would be unrealistic or clichéd or whatever, he deserves it and I really want a happy ending for this drama even if we're only two weeks in.
I loved this week's episodes so much. At this point I'm absolutely in love with Nam Shin III and I know it's going to break my heart if something happens to him or if he doesn't have the happy ending he deserves. I'm completely hooked, the wait between episodes is going to be absolute hell.
I've been looking forward to this for like a year, but the rather mediocre trailers and teasers made me lower my expectations a lot. Fortunately, the first two episodes were pretty good. The script is kind of dumb, but the story is really entertaining and Seo Kang Joon is doing a very solid job in this dual role (and he looks hella fine as expected). Gong Seung Yeon remains as likable as ever, and I really can't wait to see the first AI x human romance ever develop. Also, the cinematography is beautiful and the CGI is some of the best I've seen in a drama. So, in general, could it be better? Definitely, and I really hope the problems are fixed on the way, but I'm pretty sure I'll keep watching for now.
So far I'm not sure about the plot (it feels more suited for a movie than for a 16 episode drama), but I'm in love with Lee Sang Yoon and Lee Sung Kyung. Their chemistry is just amazing. I had never seen LSY in anything, but so far he's been fantastic. As for LSK, I think this role is perfect for her. I've always liked her a lot, but she usually plays loud over the top characters, so I'm really happy she's playing a more "normal" girl. Plus, the show is making great use of her amazingly expressive, beautiful eyes (seriously, how does she make them look so sad?). That being said, I'm still not sure if I'll keep watching this as it airs.
Lee Seo Won has been accused of sexually assaulting and threatening a female celebrity with a weapon, and his agency has basically confirmed it. I'm pretty sure he'll be fired from the show and they will have to recast his role and reshoot all his scenes, so the show will probably be delayed. I was really looking forward to watching it next week, but the delay would be for the best if it's to get rid of this disgusting monster. I hope they throw his ass in jail https://mobile.twitter.com/ch0sshi/status/996728499875598336
Are there many references to the original? What I mean is, do I have to watch the original series before this? I tried a few years ago but I couldn't get past the first episode because I completely hated the male lead. I'm really interested in this because based on what I've seen on my tl this seems like something I'd love. But yeah, I just don't want to watch the original one.
It would definitely be Tokyo for me. Anime and J-dramas and films were a huge part of my adolescence, so it holds a special place in my heart. I really hope I'll get to go someday.
I'm on episode 18 now but I think I'm gonna put it on hold at least until it ends. I enjoyed the first episodes a lot, but now I'm not looking forward to new episodes at all, so yeah, on hold. I don't know, the writing is just getting too messy for my taste. Still love the cast though.
This was really silly and over the top but it was also super entertaining and fun, I had a GREAT time watching it, which rarely happens with dramas. Also, kudos to Mackenyu, his performance here is his best so far. He's already proven that he's really good at dark characters, so I hope in his next drama he plays a bubbly character (and also keep the hairstyle, because he looks even better than usual here, which I didn't think was possible).
There was a weirdly sudden change of tone in this week's episodes, moving from melodrama to something kind of light and comedic. I actually enjoyed this episodes more than last week's, so I'm not complaining. The editing and bgm problemas are pretty much fixed, too. The main trio still steal the spotlight, but I'm warming up to Joy's character quickly. That being said, I think it's safe to say that this is very probably not going to be among the best dramas of the year, but it's certainly very enjoyable so far. Will keep watching.
UPDATE 2: this time it's something good. It seems that, although the role will be recasted and there will be reshoots, the drama will NOT be delayed and will start airing next week as planned, that's what it says here. https://www.soompi.com/2018/05/16/drama-time-announces-removal-lee-seo-won-cast-following-charges-sexual-harassment/
UPDATE 3: Kim Dong Jun will replace Lee Seo Won. https://www.soompi.com/2018/05/17/kim-dong-jun-talks-replace-lee-seo-won-time/
