I'm a fan of Wang Yibo, but I can't even make myself start this drama because of "Er Laaaaaaaang."

I've watched 2 episodes of TLP so far. I'm a fan of XZ and am watching this drama for him but it's hard to stay engaged. I have not read the book. I too had issues with the set up of the two leads. XZ is attractive, young looking, but he can't pass for an 18 year old. It's the combination of the character's styling, character's serious personality, XZ was either 29 or30 during filming, and that RM's character acts like a 15 year old girl. Additionally, I'm assuming XZ and RM's characters are supposed to be close in age in this drama (I hear in the book, there is more of an age gap). So it's difficult to imagine him as a teacher at 18 years old. when he's only been training for 4-5 years.

I just finished ep 2 on Netflix and I had the same thoughts. XZ looks too old for "18" especially when the FL acts like a 15 years old. I hope there's a time skip and character development/maturity for Zhu Yan.

The first 3 episodes are very confusing. The first two because it starts off in the past, then jumps to the present and WWX resurrection. And you're thrown in there, not knowing what is going on.
Episode 3 is confusing because of the flash back, too many characters, characters with 2-3 names, and etc. It might not be your cup of tea. Every one seems to love Word of Honor, but I dropped it after 6 episodes as I couldn't get into it.

I started losing interest around episode 16. Lord Bo seems to have 3 expressions: smirk, disinterested, and cruel. Lord Bo is just ridiculously invincible. Stab in the chest with a sword? No problem. Falls off a very high cliff. He survives without any broken bones. Zhai Xing. She's suppose to be intelligent, yet she never got an inkling about the mastermind behind her family's murders?
