I know what you mean. I watched these shows at a time I thought it criminal to leave dramas. Lol. I even finished…
Oof I can't believe the amount of hate I got when I first posted a negative review for Love O2O. It's amazing how people loved this so much tbh.

Regardless, my first drama was Playful Kiss so out of the two of us I think I have the right to feel more embarrased XD

I couldn't agree with you more. I think the protagonist of Mother was quite a strong lead, despite of the fact…
I think I am going to just go for the movie then! Heheh Thankyou for letting me know what I am watching in the next hour. :D

You may find your opinions not as unpopular as you thought. I avoided Another Miss Oh for pretty much the reasons…
While I do have a comment here and there vehemently disagreeing with what I have said in the article, I am definitely surprised with all the people who felt the same way! Great minds think alike, I guess ;)

"Cause poor little me couldn't get a man again" ajsjshsbbsb I'm dying :D I liked Oh Hae Young as far as I remember…
Heyyyyy you!

Oooh SFD was really too good tbh. When I think back on it I barely remember SSK and mostly just remember all the greatness that came with it!

I think Hyun Jin is actually a good actress so I am definitely going to check out a few of her shows. It's just Oh Hae Young was really not my cuppa tea :p

I thought I was the only one who did not like the FL in Black and found her character annoying lol. I don't think…
Yep choosing the right script is really really important. Lee Jong Suk for example is full of talent but repeatedly opts for mediocre scripts.

Completely agreed about NaNa and the FL in Black. I think Na Na has made me dislike Park Min Young, in fact -…
Park Min Young is a cute actress but she is the same in literally every drama. I think you can just watch healer and consider yourself done.

Oooh SFD definitely is a really good drama. A little slow at times, but it more than makes up for it with awesomely complex male characters, cinematography, music and swordplay. A must watch for sure.

Finally, someone talking about Han Hyo Joo in W! I love her in movies, and W is my first time seeing her in drama.…
Yep! Maybe it had a lot to do with bad writing in W. I thought it was a ridiculous drama over all. Lmao but apparently judging from some comments here, it seems some people disagree xD

I can't comment on your whole list because there's a lot of drama I haven't seen in it.But from the little I can…
It's just an article with my opinions and things I felt while watching a particular show so I do not understand your outrage and hostility.

I do not have anything against Han Hyo Joo. I think she did a good job in Always just as I thought she failed to make an impression in W on 'me'. So it's not about allergic reactions and whatnot.

Regardless, just as you think my article isn't unique, I have realized neither is your comment. It's not unlike the hundreds of hate comments that litter sections everywhere doused in entitlement and defensiveness. I would have appreciated and valued your input much more if you had left the snark out of it.

Anyway, I hope you definitely watch SFD cause it's a great drama over all. Enjoy!

I totally agree with all the drama heroines you stated! I also did not finish these dramas for the exact same…
On paper I did understand her reasons that's why I kept watching to the very last episodes but I guess the whole point of showing this should have been how her character developed over time, right? And if she never got out of that stage then what was the drama trying to tell us? I haven't watched the end but a lot of people told me she stayed the same till the end so I decide it's best to leave it because there has to be an end to something that happens over and over again at some point, right? That's my entire problem.

You are right about the chemistry though. Their skinship was fire hehe

I loved "Black" - it's my absolute favourite Drama ^-^. But I agree that Kang Ha Ram was annoying at times. Truth…
Black definitely had its moments. Especially towards the middle, the story was fast and gripping. The titular character himself was pretty easy to love. It's just that over all for me the show left more to be desired and Kang Ha Ram definitely didn't help the case T.T

I've watched it 99 1/2 times, so I'm just saying, but Ha Ji Won's coming and going martial arts prowess in "Secret…
I agree so much! Personally, I never agreed with the strong heroine tag for Secret Garden that so many people hailed it for. I thought it was a good rom com but that was it. Neither of the characters were strong or memorable enough to leave an impression on me but the comedy was spot on.

Loved your article and thought process! Go Ah Ra in "Black" had zero chemistry with Song Seung Heon and that is…
Oh I have been avoiding Miss Hammurabi because of Go Ah Ra for forever now. Despite of the fact that its premise seems so so interesting. Please tell me she won't make me gouge my eyes out with her acting and I'll get on to watching it right now!

Sad part is I don't remember a single drama that Shin Se Kyung was in where she excelled in her acting skills.…
Yep, I shoved her in my blacklist after SFD and haven't taken her out since. A few of my friends have tried to convince me to give her a second chance but those dead eyes of hers make me think otherwise ^-^

Oh yes. I drop dramas left and right because of the female leads. I'm just not forgiving enough to finish them.…
I know what you mean. I watched these shows at a time I thought it criminal to leave dramas. Lol. I even finished Love O2O which has one of the worst FL's ever. Now though, I would drop them without a thought

While reading your article I was thinking that it perfectly describes all of female leads and side female characters…
Oof I can't agree more. There are definitey a few here and there that have a kickass FL and romance go hand in hand though. For me Empress Ki was definitely one example.

I can relate to must of the stuff you mentioned in your article. Korean series tend to over- idolise male characters…
Wow I think you are the only person I have met on MDL who dislikes Signal. I dropped the show on episode 4 because frankly I found it boring and couldn't get into it but the amount of people who told me I was making a mistake made me think I should revisit it. Your comment makes me think maybe I am better off sticking to my decision. :p

I have not watched any except Miss Oh which I dropped mid way for the same reasons... I have seen many a 'Strong…
I couldn't agree with you more. I think the protagonist of Mother was quite a strong lead, despite of the fact that she couldn't physically fight. I guess at the end of the day it all depends on character development and strength.

P.S I have been meaning to watch The beauty inside! How is it?
