That is why Kamz went Winnie! :) to see him as he was being released. She did see him...and took pics for us too. See Hyun Bin's thread for the pictures.

Awww I missed my chance to be the first one to comment...but i was the first one to reach the marines' headquarters…
I know Kamz but hey...If you're going to miss an article to rather see the man in person that is the best reason! How could I not include you Chingu?! <3 Be safe coming home!

I know that S. Koreans have to serve their military duty. But can someone explain to me if they are simply training…
You said it so much better! :) Yeah, it all seems quiet and peaceful but they NEED their military for sure!

Well, I'm not sure why it is still mandatory in SK. It might have to do with the fact that they are more than "technically" still at war with North Korea. Peace was never declared..no treaty signed. Also, they don't have a lot of population like the US, so a mandatory two years makes sense to keep up their defensive numbers. I know people make those "I hope he will be safe" comments and I think while Koreans tend to be over dramatic when faced with celebrity (and the things they do and say), there have been more than a few scary scuffles with the North (and tragic loss of lives) over the last few years. I can understand them being concerned actually.

You train a lot. I am not sure what Korea does. I know for a US soldier when NOT in war time, they serve in other ways. Usually by going over seas to help other countries train, patrol borders, give medical aid and different things. I know that the RoK Marines is (at least) viewed much like the US Marines. They are the toughest branch of the military. I am not sure what Hyun Bin actually did. For instance, Gong Yoo was the army radio DJ. LOL

Friend, our legend is one of the best, yet criminally underrated dramas i've ever watched !
Gah! Another person who likes this. I really need to get off my bum and watch this one!

I watched Man Chu (Late Autumn) in the film festival in Berlin, and I managed to get two friends to watch it with…
I remember hearing at the time this film was at that festival. Very cool you saw it there. And I agree; this is not a typical movie. but I liked it just the same. ;)

Of course Jeanie is the one writing an article about Hyun Bin.
Only because Kamzie wouldn't do it! and also...she's a little busy right now. About to see him in the GORGEOUS FLESH! She's so lucky...

Oh yes... Great Seer. I know! I do love it though. I am letting a few more episodes rack up before I start again. I marathon-ed the first 12 episodes. Which was great! 36 isn't terrible...but yes, longer than I am used to.
