Why are there so many complaints. It was not bad. They talked about some important issues and none of the scenes felt like fillers to me. The only complaint would be that the 3rd couple barely had screentime, but I didn't know them like that so I was watching for the 1st & 2nd couple and was satisfied with what I got.
haven't watched this although i agree that what you mentioned is absolutely not okay, but could you maybe drop…
And? The writers generalizing the whole African continent and mentioning Ebola virus is not Afrophobia? I'm sure Molly just used the virus was to give the reason as to why that particular scenario is ironic and a bit hypocritical because many people do blame all of China even though the first known case of the virus originated from a one city there. Having experienced xenophobia against them (and all of Asia) because of this, it's really disappointing to see them point fingers at others for the same reason. I haven't watched it, either, so this is my raw opinion without bias. Forgive me if I interpreted Molly's post wrongly.
Edit: I just finished it & the mentioning of Ebola & other virus that originated from Africa was unnecessary. Traveling in general leaves you vulnerable to infectious diseases, they could've just said "be safe and take care of yourself there", it would have been ok. But mentioning it multiple times was pushing it.
After the reviews and comments, there is no way I'm watching. I feel bad that Jang Ki Yong's last drama before military is so poorly received. "My Roommate Is a Gumiho" should've been his last.
I don't think Hyeji genuinely likes any of the guys. She will just date any guy available If she didn't find out…
I understand what you could have meant by your statement but I don't think that's the case. It's possible to like 2 people at the same time, what matters is that she should only focus on pursuing one of them.
Hyeji likes kyungwoo but when she thought Eunji liked him, she backed off. That's what a true friend would do (Eunji knew kyungwoo first so she thought backing off was best).
After backing up she found comfort in Woojin, and she started to ignore her feelings for kyungwoo. You can see that she was attempting to ignore her feelings because when she found out that Eunji liked Woojin instead kyungwoo, All her feelings for kyungwoo started to take over again (with her thinking about their moments together.)
