That was the real Nang Heng from the script world. You can see that he comes from a portal from the script world. Pay attention to the doorway behind him. You can see that it changes from the script world to a normal doorway.

I really loved Glory! It’s probably more for people who like character dramas and enjoy plots where the leads use their intellect to solve problems. It was refreshing to see Neo in such a role. Love his expressions. He is such a good actor.

I actually think in the original timeline HY fell in love with Ning An, the fist reincarnation of the Azure Dragon. The first time she travels back in time HY actually falls in love with the second reincarnation, Xiao Yao. The main events play out like in the original timeline. At that time she didn’t know the full story of HY second life so couldn’t prevent his death anyway. But she still subtly alters the past since she does tell HY all those things about himself and to treat her as a „friend“ if her behavior changes and so on.
So in the last scene when she travels back within her own lifetime she meets a new version of HY who remembers XY from his second life and not „Ning An“. Well all three versions of her shared the same soul so it always was her anyway. I like to believe that she will tell this version of HY about the future and change their fate. So the end is really a new beginning.
How would HY3 have all his memories in the last scene where she travels back?Edit: I think I‘ve figured something…
Thank you for your take. I think I will just follow time travel logic since it explains that last scene pretty well. With this logic of course he doesn’t remember everything but just enough to explain that scene. No Kunlun mirror needed for that.
Everyone has their own thoughts and conclusions about this drama. Some say it's a never ending cycle. But according…
How would HY3 have all his memories in the last scene where she travels back?
Edit: I think I‘ve figured something out! 💡 If we follow time travel logic, in the last scene X3 travels back to an altered timeline where HY3 remembers X3 from his second life. This is actually HY3.2. This is the first time X3 travels back in time within her own lifetime. So of course she would see some changes since she subtly altered the past.
Since X3 told him some stuff when she was drunk and the thing, that he should treat her as a friend when her character changes. So HY3.2 probably knew immediately that this is really the same woman he fell in love with in his second life. Maybe he even figured out himself that there was something going that he didn’t understand in this second life. Since his death happened so fast he didn’t have time to really think. That would explain his look. Anyway this time X3 remembers everything about their past lives and future. So she can change the future. Thank god!

Regarding the side stories. Not sure what you exactly mean. But I think those side stories are used to deliver a message and flesh some of the characters.
Regarding your point how HY get‘s turned into a demon: The Azure Dragon Lord channels all her power into him. But maybe the Yuli Spring also did something to him.
In her second life the FL get‘s marked by the ML by this blood, the flower tattoo. So a piece of this „essence“ or whatever you would like to call it was on the FL. And since she is his true love across lifetimes it does make sense that this combination wakes him up.
Regarding Tan Er, how do you even place a human soul into sword? That’s even more fantastical than putting a human soul into a human body with a crystal heart. It just fantasy.
Your last point, if it refers to what happened to the 3 great dragons, I agree. That was only to power up the „villain“.
when i watched episode 1, the rating was still 8.2. when i decided to drop the film at episode 10, the rating…
Actually I wasn’t offended.
I can understand why some people don’t like this drama. It’s certainly no masterpiece and it does have it flaws.
But I do think this drama is much deeper than it’s seems on the surface. I for one I‘m just glad that I watched until the end. It did leave quite an impression on me despite it flaws.

You don‘t like that the male lead is soft spoken? That’s your preference and not a flaw in the story.
HY is a gentle character and his first instinct is to protect. But his true strength isn’t his powers, but his heart and values. The one time he undermines his own principles it literally breaks him. I really appreciate that sort of character. It was refreshing to see. I think he was the greenest Demon King I‘ve ever seen.
I don’t always need to see a „badass crazy demon king“ male lead.
And their love was just so pure and sweet. I feel like bawling my eyes out when I think about their love. It hurt but it was soooo good!
I’ve just started this drama, and it really does seem undervalued. With name like Hou Ming Hao, Wang Duo, Tan…
Exactly! This drama definitely isn’t fast food. You need to look under the surface. It’s one of those more realistic dramas and it does have have multiple messages. It did have some flaws but I really liked it.
That's a very weird ending for Bingzhou. Imagine looking at your sister but seeing your romantic love's face.…
Yes the the way the 3 great demons was killed was way too easy and not logical. But it’s just as you said they were killed off for the plot. They need a „strong villain“ for the end fight. Even though it wasn’t much of a „endgame fight“. But I guess this drama was never about such things.
This drama is actually much deeper than on the surface level. It did have some messages.
i understand your point! because i feel sorry for HY for having to endure servicing the demons for 5000 years…
I believe the writers bit off more than can chew regarding the demons vs humans conflict.
That conflict is essentially the same conflicts happening in the real world. You can’t solve something like that easily. It always takes a lot of time and huge efforts.
Nobody in the drama is purely good.
I can understand why HY did what did, he was duty bound to protect humanity and he did know that what he was doing was not morally right. You can see it in his face when he drinks from that Yuli Spring. It seems like something in him breaks. I don’t think he would have been happy even if has lived afterwards. Someone as gentle as him just can’t bear it.
And the Azure Dragon has the responsibility to protect all beings. And I was surprised that after the time jump into 10..000 years ago she kind of morphed into the Azure Dragon also mentally.
And she didn’t kill him, she punished him and gave him all her power.
But I think it was wrong to make him believe he was a demon. That shouldn’t have been her call. Well all the characters in the drama make one big mistake which alters their fate.
But HY is the only one who could have done what he did in the end after regaining all his memories from the 3 life’s. His first instinct was always to protect.
What pissed me off is that he didn’t keep his promise to talk things through with XY like he promised. Maybe they would have found a better solution.
Since it’s sort of an open ending I believe in my head cannon that she when she travels back in my time she somehow changes their future. Just to soothe my soul.
But I hate it when people give a really bad rating just because they don’t like the ending. Yes the drama had it flows, like how could the 3 ancient great demons be defeated so easily? But that‘s plot has logic for you. The needed a strong „villain“. *shrugs*

But using guns instead of swords…that would be like Stars Wars without light sabers.
