It is not Season 1. . . But it's solid
Season 1 was like lightening in a bottle - very rare. Following such success is tough to do.
I have read some of the Manwha in anticipation for season 2. Even though season 2 is not as good as season 1, it is a good adaptation of the source material. It also delivers on the fight choreography and cinematography - the bread and butter of the IP.
I really enjoyed watching Park Ji Hoon as Si Eun. The man's eyes are an abyss of emotion. I miss seeing moody Si Eun say so much without saying a lot.
I was unsure about the main crew at the beginning of the season, but by episode 8 I'd warmed up to them. I wish the run time was a bit longer so we could build the relationships more.
If you loved season 1, you should definitely watch season 2. Just have an open mind and leave your expectations at the door. You'll still have fun. Maybe not as much. 😏
