Title Good Manager Spoiler
Is dongha playing a negative role here?
Not really. There's character development so he turns good in the end! He isn't a bad character to begin with, just a bit spoiled as a chaebol.

I just reaaaallly disliked the relationship between Nam Sang Hyo and Goo Hae Young... Would've been okay with the ending had he not been that pressuring towards her. Their whole relationship seemed to be him forcing her to love him until she really gave in, while in reality, she could've gone and been just fine with Jo Sung Gyum. The same thoughts are for the relationship between Jo Sung Gyum and Yeo Eun Joo... Too much force was used for both relationships and it really ruined the drama (ending) for me.

I just started this drama but I've been taking way too much time to finish episode 2... Is it worth trying harder to continue? Not really interesting at the very beginning, despite having the crime back story that I usually enjoy having in a drama.

He had me bawling my eyes out in The Last Empress. I loved him even before but this role, *this* Shin Sung Rok... Simply amazing. I cannot fathom just how much respect and admiration I have for his acting skills.

Title The Last Empress Spoiler
Never have I been so invested in a drama like I was for The Last Empress. I was only intrigued by the Korean Empire alternate universe storyline first but all the events that occurred in the drama and the characters that made it so colourful kept me watching till the very end. I wasn't really satisfied on how Wang Sik's character was kind of forgotten in the last episodes because of Jin Hyuk's absence from the drama shooting but I must say I can't rate it less than a 9.5! I bawled my eyes out at Lee Hyuk's death, that was so unexpected for me... I might have loved his and Sunny's characters the most (and kind of rooted for them to be together in the end). Overall, never have I enjoyed a makjang drama this much and I'll definitely keep on recommending it to people and talking about it in the next few months. Truly a gem of a kdrama, if you ask me.

I'm curious as to how the drama will resolve without Choi Jin Hyuk in the final two episodes... He's been one of the main characters throughout the whole drama so it wouldn't make sense to simply make him disappear like that. Although I'm a big fan of this drama, I really dislike dramas that aren't pre-recorded because of unexpected things like these... The last drama where Shin Sung Rok starred that I watched, Return, had a similar problem where they had to replace the main actress, which was kind of distracting ;(

The poster is so pretty and the story seems interesting but 100 episodes (or 50 1-hour ones) are troubling me.. Please tell me if it's worth watching after a few episodes air!! <3 :))
Many people are wondering why the story has been split into two seasons but when you think about it, there are so many things that need to be answered and you cannot answer them in 4 episodes only. Who's the old man who meets with Bang Je Soo? How is Do Kang Woo connected to him and Bang Je Soo? Is Bang Je Soo connected with Miho? How does Bang Je Soo know Japanese, is he Japanese? These are only some of the questions that have been bugging me during the last few episodes of the season... I think it'd be too rushed were all these things to be revealed in the last four episodes.

Story-wise, I actually liked it (dare I say I prefer it to the first season!). I like how all the cases were connected together and not just filler episodes like some of them were in season 1. It also seemed darker than the first season, despite the color scheme of the scenes being much brighter than in season 1, so I liked the contrast between the dark theme and the bright cinematography.

I'm just excited for the third season, very curious to see how it all ends! :)

He makes such a great villain side-kick, loved him in both Two Weeks and Missing 9! :D

Shouldn't his name be written as Dong Young because his real name is used?

yeah when his mum was like quit being a gangster, I thought well he never realley was. :D so sad it's over now,…
Now that I think about it, we really didn't get to see what happened with Chil Seong and the vet!! So sad, though I wish they could be happy with each other <3 The CEO Chil Seong scene gave me such goosebumps because it reminded me of Money Flower! That hairstyle really suits Jang Hyuk, I don't know why he keeps the bangs throughout his dramas.
kailin Jul 23, 2018
As I watched Money Flower before this, it was really weird seeing Jang Hyuk and Lee Mi Sook acting together again, but this time - not as enemies! Just like you said, it was a refreshing drama indeed. Maybe one of my favourite ones, too! I just love the gangsters-failing-at-being-gangsters trope so much. :D

I want to start watching some of Jang Hyuk's work but don't know where to begin. Would someone reccomend me one…
I first saw him in Voice and knew he was a promising one. :D Then I went onto Beautiful Mind, Money Flower and just recently I have finished Wok of Love. Was never disappointed! Though, I think Money Flower shows his acting abilities the best :))

Title Wok of Love
I have never seen Jung Ryeo Won in a drama (Medical Top Team excluded, I gave up 5 minutes in), but she made Sae Woo's character so lovable and natural that I'm becoming such a fan! There are so many instances I could name when I thought to myself: "Oh wow, she's amazing". Nothing seems forced with her, her voice breaks when she's on the edge of tears or uncomfortable, and giggling comes naturally when her character finds something funny! I'm enchanted. :)))))))
