i loved pans labyrinth it was more of a gothic magical though but that director would need a big budget if he was to do spirited away especially if he didnt use CGI and used costumes like in pans labyrinth the amount of costumes he would need made would cost a lot
its sad really because it would be a great film

yeah it is quite a common theme in dramaland and can easily be made into a live actions

just wondering why you think hes not suitable?

lol feel free too all of them are great animes XD be sure to watch fushigi yuugi its and oldy but a classic

yeah what i disliked most about this film is just how she treated the guy

yeah i agree drama wise but i think they could be made into live action films but they are the sort of anime that if made into a film could go either great or terrible

yeah i was disappointed when i found out the film wasnt the same as the anime :( but im sure it will still be great im just glad to see mizushima back on screen

yeah i heard and i think i did watch a live adaptation of basara but it didnt really do the anime much justice although they got the costumes right :)

yeah thats what worried me most about, everything else is fairly do-able

im not a CLAMPmaniac but i have seen a lot of their animes and i just assumed it was the kids from card captor sakura grown up because it has all the same characters although part of me did think it was a parallel world
basara may be included in part 3 ;)

... err maybe i wrote it wrong i cant remember oh well im sure he would play ciel well

and yeah fushigi yuugi is my all time fave anime but the only problem is it could be ruined with the effects and magic

yeah i agree and i think the same too i like magic dramas its when they go all 'sailor moon' and transform and start throwing magic here and there it just loses its realistic value, although fushigi yuugi doesnt have too much in it that would result in those moments, i mean its a magic drama but a lot of the time its just people in search of others with a few fight scenes so in some ways i think it would work

i can see Christian bale as howl too but sadly i think hes a bit old now :( and me too id love to see spirited away as a live action but you would definitely need a big budget for that to be made i mean the whole film is magical with talking animals and demons monsters pretty much everything would have to be CGI which makes me think that could ruin the film :(

i didnt misunderstand :D thanks for the comment though :) the only problem i do find with mangas/animes being made into dramas is that not only do they have to adapt the anime well but also the main issue is them buying the rights to adapt the story ~sighs~ i really really hope for fushigi yuugi to be made into a drama someday

lol i only thought about the separate roles didnt think about them acting together ^_^; but yeah kim so hyun would play the role well but my only issue is that she could be too young, i mean in the anime haji is older than saya so if kim so hyun were to play the role you would have the issue of her acting with a guy who's like 10 years older :/ and personally im not a fan of their being romance between actors in dramas who are like 10 years apart

i see where you are coming from i do think japanese dramas tend to make the romance a bit childish and i do agree that most probably wouldnt be made into a drama just because of budget but i can still hope ;)
