I didn't think the criticism was with the way they spoke English or the fact that they have strong accents, it's…
I think the friend group have referred to Soong as “foreign” a times. I’m assuming since the actor is half Thai that they made his character so as well.
Yup, just finished, and I definitely feel the prince ended up with the wrong guy. BUT, I'm just going to assume…
I definitely think Geum made it out and knew it was them. I’m not sure why they made it 2 years later that they met up though. I was a bit dissapointed because I wanted to see more interaction with them in the future.
I enjoyed this drama. I’ve seen a few different interpretations of the the ending, which makes it interesting. It’s not just black and white.
It wasn’t meant to be a “happy ending” kind of thing. To me, Nabi is still so unsure about everything when it comes to PJE. In the end, she makes a decision which she knows is going to be bad. She doesn’t go back into it thinking it will be perfect or even work out. She just can’t help her feelings.
This is one of the most honest, realistic things I’ve seen in a kdrama. I’ve seen some people very close to me go through these same kind of “you know they are not right for you, make you hurt and cry, treat you bad” relationships and this is how it is sometimes. You either stay with or keep going back to that person.
If they wanted to do some sort of happy ending, they should have not had PJE show up and Nabi go to Paris and figure herself out, then maybe meet up with him after a year or so. PJE would have had time to really grow and figure out what he wants.
This show was really amazing. It was my fav History series, easily. The chemistry between the main 2 actors was so believable. I am sure this one will be watched again and again.
For English subs, I watched it on the Viki app. Lots of annoying ads but it’s free.
