This drama is very enjoyable. I love the fashion & beauty scenario & i love when the women yell, scream & slap each other. Looking forward to the thriller part.

This is true to life! Things change. Feelings change. Why are there so many divorces in RL? Because people married for superficial reasons, like looks. Real love is more mature and is for deeper reasons.

Ah, I see. So it's the faulty translation again that confuses things. I still hope that LR & her father turn out to be villains because otherwise I see no purpose for their characters AT ALL. Same goes for LR's bro who is almost as annoying as her.

I never see her maid doing anything except following her around and voicing her objection to the way Erlang treats her. Is she supposed to do any work?

I've read that there is a rule for good mystery drama to show a glimpse the villain in the beginning without revealing who he/she is (it's called the 15-minute rule or something), and that it's very bad form to bring out the villain later on. Therefore I think Baili's 'dead' bro reappearing is a red herring. It's just my opinion but I'm sticking to my theory that Liu Ran and her father are the real villains, the Lady and Lord of Summer and Winter.

Yes, I also find her omission in promos & ads very strange since in the show she seems to dominate. It made me wonder if she'd be killed off early but now we're at Ep. 27 and she's still there. However, she could still be a villain, hiding it very well. I suspect her father too. In the 4 Seasons Divine there are a Lord of Spring and Lady of Autumn (or is it in reverse?) so there must also be a lord/lady of Summer and Winter. Who are they? I suspect it's Liu Ran and her father at the head of it all.

I can't trust any of the characters except the main 3! Everyone else is suspect, even the ones I really like. But I can't stand Liu Ran, Hongyi's wife. She's annoying, whiny, too clingy, doesn't seem to have anything to do except follow him around yelling "Erlang" constantly, and I'll never forgive her for blackmailing Hongyi into marrying her. So I hope she doesn't suddenly turn into someone he'll fall for or I'll be very upset with the production. However, I do love the story so far. Crime investigation and historical shows are my faves, while I mostly can't stand romance dramas.

He is a delightful actor. Really talented. He makes everything he appears in much more interesting.
