Actually this plot with the brain translplant wasn't really necessary, just a plot twist to make us believe that JBR was not the killer for a bit longer. They coud've easily done without it, kept the plot more realistic. But they might've been done in 16 episodes, not 20. Really like the show either way :)

True ! There's a lot of different timelines, and keeping track can be challenging. You're not only left to wonder who knows what, but who knows what and at what point ?
