Title Once Again
I would say it is more like Father is Strange than Reply 1988, and even then it is not terribly close.
Several others I have seen recently that I liked very much were Spring Waltz, Accidental Couple, and Full House.

Love Story in Harvard was also very good, but I wouldn't call it a family drama due to the mature nature of several aspects of the story. It is not nearly as bad as much of U.S. television/movies or some of the Asian television/movies I have stumbled across, but still not something I would watch with children.

I definitely recommend this drama. There are a number of story lines: romances for each of the 4 siblings, the father looking for his long-lost sister, the relation ship between the two mothers, the gimbap lady's romance, the romance between the mother's sister and the butcher, plus a few minor ones. I have to admit I skipped over many segments involving the woman pretending to be the father's sister as it was very tedious, but otherwise I found it engaging, even at 50 hours in length. For comparison, this is more content than two fulls years of a 1-hour/week U.S. television show.

One thing I particularly liked about this series is that there is a great deal that can be learned about the importance of family, putting the needs of others before yourself (within reason, of course), and how to deal with problems in relationships, both familial and romantic.

Does this show have a similar feel to that of Reply 1988?

I find Na-Hee's mother to be worse than Gyu-Jin's to be honest. The way she's treating Na-Hee is horrible. She's…
I agree with all your comments except the opinion that Na-hee's mother is worse than Kyu-jin's. In some ways she is as bad, if not worse; however, Kyu-jin's mother did more to undermine the marriage and is more hostile to the other family.

With the exception of the story line about the fake aunt,I enjoyed this drama very much.

I missed some of the early episodes (and don't have access to several) and am trying to better understand Na-hee and Kyu-jin's relationship. I have several questions I hope someone can answer.

(a) The cast list on this site identifies Jeong-rok as Na-hee's first love. I know he was her TA in med school and that he was interested in her; did they have a personal relationship beyond that? Are there any flashbacks showing Jeong-rok in medical school?

(b) Are there any flashbacks showing how Na-hee and Kyu-jin first met or of their relationship in medical school? The only one I have seen is in the epilogue of episode 18 where they encounter an injured student on campus and render first aid, then Na-hee flirts with a shocked Kyu-jin and asks him to take her for a meal.

As Kyu-jin's and Na-hee's mothers were friends in high school and apparently lived in the same area afterward, it is conceivable that Kyu-jin and Na-hee knew each other either from school or through family association before medical school. Was this ever mentioned?

(c) Are there any flashbacks of Kyu-jin's relationship with Bo-young before the present time? The flashback in (b) shows her waiting for Kyu-jin holding a note with a key taped to hit at the same time he is taking care of the injured student elsewhere. She gets called in for a practice, and there is no explanation of what the key is for. In another episode, Jae-seok meets her in the hospital and comments that Kyu-jin used to refer to her as "My Bo-young" all the time, so apparently they were very close. Did that end before he got close with Na-hee? Or did he dump Bo-young for Na-hee?
