Out of Control, My Crush Keeps Trying to Flirt With Me
( 失控,暗恋对象总想撩我 )
Male Lead: Feng Yi Yang ( 冯奕洋 )
Female Lead: Shi Yueyue ( 诗越越 )
Plot:
Wen Li unexpectedly enters into what she believes to be a fake marriage with her long time crush - as well as her best friend's brother - Yu Bai.
Yu Bai, who has harbored secret feelings for Wen Li for many years, pretends indifference but can’t help showering her with affection and subtle flirting.
Through short-lived misunderstandings and battles against villainous relatives, their relationship strengthens and blossoms - ultimately revealing their mutual crushes.
I was anticipating some sweet romance, like maybe a confession and their first kiss, but instead was shocked when it skipped all that and suddenly they were in bed with no warning. I was wondering if there was something cut out in between the two scenes because the transition from one scene to the next seemed so choppy and abrupt.
Are there deleted scenes from episode 22 that were cut by censors? Am I missing something? The transition from the betting scene to the bed scene was so abrupt that it was jarring! Usually when I have that sense, it's because the scene was chopped up by the censors (Forbidden Flower, looking at you!). After all the build up of anticipation for 22 episodes, I have to say I feel really disappointed right now. No sweet first kiss? No confession? Just a weird, unexpected jump to a strangely lit and oddly angled bed scene... 😔
I guess I might be in the minority, but I really enjoyed this little drama. I went into it with zero expectations, as I'd never heard of it before, and was pleasantly surprised.
I found it to be gentle and sweet - a refreshing respite from the drama fatigue I've been experiencing recently. It reminded me of the era of dramas I watched when I first discovered K dramas, back around 2016-2017.
Some of the acting was a little amateurish, but I didn't mind too much. I really like JR and thought he did an excellent job in this.
I was a little surprised at the ending, not going to lie, but I'm still happy with it.
Honestly, I think my favorite part of the show was the gorgeous scenery and the nostalgic, soothing style of cinematography!
P.S. I just looked up N.Ssign (the real life Kpop boy group that played N.Code in the drama), and they just won their first music award show a week or two ago! Congratulations!! 🎉
read a comment here saying this show is not for conservatives, I've watched 1 ep, and I liked it but does it get…
Hi! From one Jess to another. 😊
I'm also a Christian, so I get where you're coming from. This drama is hard to describe; there's nothing *graphic* but it definitely pushes the boundaries of most mainstream K drama norms with swearing, crude talk, and sexual innuendo/references to unmarried sexual experiences. A lot of grey area, so I guess it depends on your personal convictions in those areas.
If you have any specific concerns or questions, please feel free to ask! ❤️
Edit - I meant to add that there are 2 different versions of the series. One is more censored/clean than the other, so you may want to look into that and choose the more clean version if you decide to watch! 🙂
