I think this is because they finish filming and editing the series before it airs. In Kdrama they can air them while still filming.

This is a high budget series of tencent. It is based from a popular novel. The director is the director of Love and Redemption, and Under the Power which were well received. The supporting cast are popular as well. I don't want to expect much though since high expectations can lead to big disappointments but I'm really excited about this so I hope it will do well.
