To each his/her own, I guess. πŸ˜ŠπŸ˜• I could not go on past Ep. 1 of TTEOTM πŸ˜†πŸ™„Too intense and not relatable…
I actually love fairy tales, but as you said, everyone has their own personal taste. Although I didn't like TTEOTM's ending, and it also had flaws, as others commented above, the leads' acting skills were top-notch, the visual effects were fabulous, the flow of the story was well played-out, and it had many other pros that overall outweighed the cons. BFTB has decent acting, but I've not cried once while watching it, and that says a lot for me. I will continue watching it, but I hope it will improve in some aspects. For instance, I often feel like the editing team for BFTB hasn't really given enough thought to how they should deal with some very important scenes - a prime example would be how they dealt with the episode in which ML almost dies instead of the FL but is somehow miraculously saved by an arrow from Bai Xiao Sheng...to me they did a terrible job of sorting that out and explaining that whole scenario, it all felt so choppy after such a touching scene between the FL and ML, so sad that they didn't do a better job with it...and that's not the only scene they butchered in BFTB if you ask me...

Am I the only one struggling a bit with this drama? It has some very cute moments which I enjoyed, but after watching TTEOTM it kind of feels like I am watching a silly children's play...don't get me wrong, I enjoy comedy, but most of the comedic scenes here come across as sheer stupidity...the chemistry between the leads is also hot-and-cold, in some scenes they really vibe, whereas in others their chemistry falls flat...for a score of 8.5 I was expecting more.
