This is the best of its genre. I’m rewatching to pick up the details I missed. Still can’t figure out who sent him the letter to return to Chang An in first episode. I had a feeling that the opening is more significant than it appears to be. Definitely will be a season 2. It wasn’t an open ending, it was a teaser.

I don‘t really know what went behind the scenes could be that they cut a great deal of scenes to fit in 36 episodes. As for Cheng yi there is no doubt that he is a rare gem. His interpretation and expression are always genuine and he cares for details. I understand that his fans may get frustrated when the production didn’t turn out they way they expected, but as far as I’ve been observing Cheng yi, he tends to pick roles for its philosophy not for making fame or money. Despite his social awkward demeanor, his self awareness is very high. So I hope his fans can 放下 吧 , trust his decision. For a good hearted person, the outcome of hard work is never ‘a flop’, but always ‘fruitful’.

I don't know why English name always does that to every drama or may be they use translation app. 天地剑心, the name of the drama, is the heart of the sword which Fugui possesses.

I know many people would disagree but I actually love the writing of this one. I love how the writer maintains the integrity of Fugui character. Usually the writer will try to please the audience with sudden change of personality by turning main character into lovey dovey, or once restrained all of sudden silly funny outgoing and all that. But Fugui remains Fugui all the way. His sacrifice is not made just for a girl but for peace of all and I love that. As Liu elder said 兵 人就 是兵 人.

I love it. I think I’m probably the only one that love the ending. It makes sense since his mother already gave hint of his purpose in early episodes. Cheng Yi is so good playing split personality. My only complaint is they wasted a lot of episodes with side stories that didn’t contribute to the main plot. But once it was back on track it was so good. Gosh Cheng Yi is such a good actor

This drama is so good ….up until they decided they didn’t really need Fugui to lead the story anymore. Cheng yi is magnificent as always, seeing his dedication and genuine talent, good scripts and decent directors will find him in the future no doubt. I truly admire how he rises above criticism and hatred and still remains humble and gracious.

I stop watching after 9 eps. The drama is sooooo good, I’ll save the rest for later 🥰
