Yes, you are right. I believe that as well. Apologies for the late reply and for not clarifying that on the list details, but I've been unsure if the truth (especially one of this dark nature) would be permitted here on this site.
Sadly, there are many that still consider it a baseless speculation or conspiracy theory, (rumors, AI misinfo etc.) despite alleged evidence, witnesses, testimonies, all pointing to otherwise. And of course, there are the "official narratives"... There seems to be much suppression and intentional confusion around this topic. Which seems to confirm a lot in itself.
When I added YML to this list, it was done with the intention of keeping his memory and face alive in people's minds, as well as honaring him in the smallest of ways; but perhaps this was a wrong list for that…
The whole matter is sickening beyond belief. I wish for justice for him and his family, as well as others that may be in similar circumstances even now. He is definitely gone too soon. I hope the censorship and misinformation around this case will stop and the full truth come to light.
Not much romance, but yeah, pretty Bromantic, imo. The two male leads are central characters and very closely bonded. (related by marriage/cousins-in-law, but also have a deep friendship) The series is pretty heavy in terms of history and mystery, having to do with spies and espionage of the Three Kingdoms Era, but their relationship is definitely a key part of the story and suspense. =)
Dropped this, wanted to like it but there were too many evil women and Haolan was always being "saved". Loved…
Yeah, I can understand that, not sure how far you got but Li Hao Lan definitely grows and learns to save herself, at least in my opinion (it takes a while though). I liked her character arc. Without any spoilers, I think towards the end the show does try to explain reasons why so many women are they way they are, a lot of it pertaining to society of the times, and a few do have some redeeming or regretful moments. But, yeah, I definitely agree, many were over the top evil. I guess I just get used to it in these shows.
