A masterpiece or a destructive work by the director or writer?

The series strikes you as strange from the very beginning because of its title. You ask yourself, why does the series have this name? You read the synopsis and get tempted to watch it. Up to episode 5, everything goes perfectly, until the series reaches its peak, a painful thing happens to one of the characters, and the course of the series changes...

The acting in this series is truly unmatched. From P.O’s mother, who acted so well that you yourself wonder whether this person is like that in real life, to Su-kang and Lee Jun-young.
Su-kang, whose growth in every aspect you see in the series, you can clearly feel the sorrow in his eyes, or Lee Jun-young, who displays two sides of his being very well.
The pacing was really excellent, and it was very gripping, so much so that while watching it, fans would come up with lots of theories of their own until the next episode aired. But I’ve said all this just to get to this point:
Did the writer need to create all these characters and then leave them to their own devices? Was Professor Hyun’s character necessary? Or the girl’s character who suddenly appeared and stole P.O’s sheet music that night, and so on?
In the end, the writer ended the series with a ton of unresolved questions, and the bigger question is why didn’t they show Jung-yu’s past nine years, or how did Jung-yu become an orchestra conductor?
But overall, I liked the characterization of the main characters, and I also liked the directing to some extent, but either it was the network’s censorship or the writer’s pen that dealt a heavy blow to the series, apart from the chemistry between the actors.
For me, it wasn’t a series that I’d say at the end was wow, amazing, or unmatched. It could have been a 16-episode series with a good and thrilling mystery, but unfortunately it didn’t turn out that way.

Don’t ever judge it too early based on season one

In my opinion, season one was an introduction to season two.
I liked season two more than season one because it was more exciting and more gripping, and it was unpredictable until the very end
The acting was amazing. I loved Hyun Bin’s performance so, so, so, so much, and I’d give him a two out of ten.
I felt that the writing had some flaws/bugs in places, but overall the series had the atmosphere/vibe of Korean movies, and I personally love that vibe, and it was the reason I started this series
