I also can't resist to mention him in Takashi Miike movie's "Blade of the Immortal" because he was really charismatic in his bad guy role of Anotsu. It's a bit violent and bloody movie but it suits him well, I hope he will play more of this kind of characters in the future ♥
Okay, i feel like i had to make a looong commentary about this :
- I don't get why this movie is so underrated. It really reminds me of "M" movie but with more spectaculars vibes. Sceneries were amazing, maybe some were a bit too much sometimes, but in an artistic view i really loved the colors and the viewing angles. All scenes with minimalist details were really interesting. - I'm not into Kim Soo Hyun acting so much, because he always had same kind of roles, like the nice and lovable man. But in this movie... His character described so much emotions at the same time ! I'm really happy to watch him play this character, i hope he will get similar roles in the future (even if people don't seem into his character) - The plot, yes it was confusing but when you have to portray someone with schizophrenia it's kind of obvious that the plot can't be linear and understandable in all way. If you are used to independant movie like "Written" or "M" (yes i insist with this one haha) you could find "Real" less confusing. - I want to add more about others actors / actress, script, scenes but...I feel like that i've ever write too much here haha...
So, i've read this movie was the first full-length film of the director. In my side it was full of potential and uniqueness. I hope he will continue his next projects in the same spirit :)
Why this is odd ? There are few k-drama with no romance, of course not much haha you can count them in your hand....
There is some hints about "romance" but character are too busy in this drama haha
