Oh. That's a really long prologue! I think I'll give it another go in two weeks or so. Luckily, I like the actress and the character she's portraying otherwise I don't think I can hold on that long (^_^;)
I've switched to Arsenal Military Academy and it's fantastic! My mind/attention doesn't wander, the multiple storylines and the characters have hooked me in. I hope this continues til the end. I will try to check out the other titles you've mentioned after I finish with these three (SAHPH, Ancient Love Poetry, and Arsenal).

Thank you for this. I don't mind any genre. Nowadays, the actors draw me in initially but the story and the characterization is what makes me stay til the end. That's how I stumbled upon him in SAHPH (I wanted to give Yang Mi another try) but ended up liking their pairing a lot and so now I'm finishing it.
I just tried Ancient Love Poetry and I like the lead actress (she's quite likable!) but the story is bland so far (nothing bad or illogical per se, but nothing that makes me want to stay tuned also; I'm at episode 7). I'll hang on til 1/4 of the story which is episode 13. I hope it manages to hook me in by then.
Can you recommend to me (or anyone who sees this) any drama of his where the characterization is quite good and stands out please? In most xianxia dramas, for example, the MLs are a certain template where I can swap the lead for xianxia A and xianxia B and still come up with the same story. In SAHPH, his character is imperfect but so easy to identify among other MLs I've come across. Because his character as Yang Hua was written well, I can imagine his reactions in specific scenarios. Bai Jue, on the other hand, is like a template ML: quiet, powerful, traumatic past.

I read elsewhere that he was used to speaking Cantonese (not sure how accurate this is) that's why he prepared extra hard for this role. Which further makes the Taiwanese accent comments weird. You're right, it's probably meant as a derogatory term (by those who said it, not Taiwan per se).
Bottomline: I love his voice! I wanted to watch his other dramas but the dubbing will probably distract me so... I'm still deciding.
Really? Can you share me the link please? I've been watching Curtain Call and The First Responders currently,…
Thank you! I wish they'd remaster older dramas too. I've always liked Love Story in Harvard (even though it spiraled to unnecessary drama later on) plus older movies like My Little Bride. Thanks again!
Need to pick up again. I was at a very frustrating episode. But I’m going to watch it again. All subbed episodes…
Really? Can you share me the link please? I've been watching Curtain Call and The First Responders currently, with The Time We Were Not In Love and other Rae Won flicks on the side. This will be perfect, Ha Ji Won and Rae Won together.
It's disappointing but I'm not surprised because the series near the airing date that Viki, Viu, Netflix and Prime…
I used to use a free one (ProtonVPN) but the country selection is severely limited for free accounts. And it's slower. But I could watch. Now I've switched to a paid one. Faster and more choices but not perfect either (though definitely better). I don't get it either why Disney refuse to play it across all countries considering they insist on exclusive rights to the kdramas they've acquired. Netflix at least, when it's an exclusive kdrama (aka Netflix "original") it's available everywhere.
That's too bad for me. I currently subscribe both Netflix and Viki. Adding a 3rd one would be too much. It would…
If you're a big k-drama fan, I think it's worth it to subscribe to all. The trick is in finding someone to split the bills with you so you don't pay the full amount for one month of three (or more) subscriptions. For Viki, I usually employ the stop-go-stop method (which you can do for Netflix and Disney+ as well) where I wait for my Viki shows to "pile up" and watch them all when I resubscribe for 1-2 months.
yeah same, I really want to keep watching it (only on ep 3) but I can't deal with the FL's voice. I'm not tryinna…
If I'm not mistaken, her voice is not dubbed. And I think she intentionally used a childish-airy voice in the beginning, as the episodes go on an her character matures, her voice changes too. I suggest Dylan is too good on this to miss out. Give it another try :)
If you live in Europe or some other continent where it's not necessarily illegal to watch on free sites and many…
Netflix and Disney+ are expensive but by sharing a subscription with several friends or family, it's not anymore. Viu and iQIYI has new user promos that make it really cheap. We just need to work our way around it creatively so in the end, the content that we love keeps getting produced.
I’m just curious which countries have Link on their Disney+. Please let me know if I missed any:SKMalaysiaJapanIndonesiaTaiwanAustraliaThailandSingaporeIndiaHong…
My VPN doesn't have India. And I can't access Disney+ Hotstar (Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia) so only Japan works for me. But I'm happy enough to have one country I can access :)

But by watching in illegal sites, we're not showing proper support to the drama and their actors. For them to know that their show is a "hit" then the views have to be registered in proper channels.
By the way, did i missed out any part explaining why or how LSQ entered the loop in the first place?
According to Elaine's comment on the Reset review at The Fangirl Verdict:
"In episode 3, the main characters mentioned folklore about how a person who dies a wrongful death becomes a vengeful spirit who hangs around the site of their death until someone else dies at that spot – thus traps the new spirit in that spot while freeing up the first spirit to move on to the underworld. My pet theory, supported by the vision of Wang Mengmeng’s spirit looking peaceful on the bridge at the successful resolution, is that her lingering spirit provided supernatural power to trigger a time loop until not just her own, but also her parents’ wrongful deaths could be resolved/prevented. As for why Shiqing was the Chosen One, she is the same age as Mengmeng was when she died. Unintentionally, Shiqing drew Heyun into the time loop with her actions, and since there isn’t enough psychic energy to extend to Heyun also, that is why he deteriorated the more time loops he went through while Shiqing stayed fine."

Second: Also for the Mandarin speakers, does his accent (in SAHPH) really sound Taiwanese? But he didn't grow up in Taiwan right?
Malaysia
Japan
Indonesia
