For me, so far LR is much better than the soapy queen of tears that I struggled to finish
Absolutely agree. QOT was carried by the lead actors, the plot was so disappointing. LR has amazing actors and equally engaging plot. I’m seriously impressed with this writer, I wasn’t a big fan of True Beauty but her writing here is phenomenal. Not a single moment felt wasted or filler in the first 8 episodes. I’m kinda scared that it would run out of steam after ep 12 with the pace it’s at right now but I’ll trust this writer has something up her sleeve for the second half of the drama.
First episode was so fun. I’m happy to see Kang Han Na in a lead role. I’ve only seen her as a second lead. 12 episodes is perfect for this type of drama. It reminds me of Gaus Electronics which I liked a lot.
If the second half is as good as the first this drama is gonna be legendary. 2521 is my benchmark I’ll put Lovely Runner in that category. This drama has been that good so far.
this killer/ stalker plotline is so fucking annoying I just wanna enjoy my lovely couple in peace omg it gets…
That’s the whole plot though isn’t it. She’s trying to save him. Of course we’ll get romance and cute moments along the way. But the end goal is to save him from being murdered.
That kiss was 🔥🔥🔥. Their chemistry is no joke. I really loved them in their high school phase but this is something else. I can’t wait to see their college days. I thought QOT pair was one of the best but this one is giving them a run for their money. And they’re getting the attention and screen time that the QOT couple didn’t get.
The pacing of the drama is insane. There’s not a single dull moment in the first 8 episodes so far. I hope it stays the same. This is on track to become one of all time favorite dramas.
I'm so happy TV ratings for ep7 increased 🥲🫶 4.4% nationwide, 5.2% seoulHope it stays high and reaches 10%…
Yes. And it was a pretty big increase too! The drama keeps getting better each episode and it shows with the increasing viewership in Korea. 10 percent is a little unrealistic at this point but I’m happy with the recognition it’s getting online and on OTT.
This is genuinely one of the best dramas I’ve ever watched. Please don’t mess this up in the end. I can’t handle another disappointing second half after QOT.
Oh THANK GOD he didn't get amnesia or something! I can't wait for episode 8, I'm gonna die! Also I genuinely don't…
I mean we’re possibly going to see their college days since she has one more attempt to time travel. I think 12 episodes would’ve been too short. Maybe 14 would’ve been better since most 16 ep dramas feel stretched out in the end.
11K comments is very respectable for a show which lacks any major OTT streaming availability. I wish tvN made…
This drama has been the biggest surprise for me this year. I did not expect it to be as great as it is. I expected QOT to be great for obvious reasons but this has really been a pleasant surprise. The trailers were very lackluster for this one. I hope it’s on Netflix after it ends, the world needs to see this amazing drama.
Traveling back and forth to different time lines is so interesting. It keeps the drama engaging. Other time slip dramas stay in one time line for the most part and they become boring after a few episodes.
is it just me or do the dramas that are coming in may looks so boring compared to this, dont get me wrong im not…
I'm interested in Midnight Romance in Hagwon. I like the director's previous work. That and The Atypical Family. I'll have two dramas to watch on the weekend lol. Kdramas dont do a good job with trailers tbh. I thought Lovely Runner would be just another run of the mill drama from the trailers but I love it so much.
No matter how many sugarcoated things happen, leads relationship still somewhat felt empty because they don't…
This. The writer didn’t explore their relationship properly. She was obsessed with the villains and the company takeover plot. That is why despite the amazing chemistry between the leads their relationship felt empty. For me even Soo Cheol and Da Hyes story was more impactful in the end.
