this show would've gotten shelved if CJD didn't just opt for an international release ( it was originally shot and planned to be released in mainland china through Youku ) hence the delay in the release. Other shows got shelved because their director/producer didn't want to only settle for an international release, esp if they have scenes or scripts that don't pass censorship.

no details about uncut version as of rn, but they're starting to air one episode weekly in japan starting from the 22nd, this may or may not be the uncut version as it is promoted as a BL series in japan. Again, no confirmation, just have to wait and see

I've basically been living in SWM chaohua on weibo so idk where they got their information. but from what was said in the douyin gc, uncut version will be released after a successful broadcast. what determines success? now that i dont know.
