Wouldn't that actually be the story they want to tell? Are time jumps always a lazy writing mechanism? I thought it worked well given they only have 9 episodes. The story has to be quick.

I don't know . I dropped the novel because it was toxic and boring. I peaked at the end and it was even more disappointing..I think the series is borrowing the best elements. Undercover cop and CEO Mafia. Hopefully the rest will be outside the novel .

Hard to know until the series airs. They are only two episodes in. But there was in the novel not a love triangle but toxic outside relationship that included SA. Not sure that will be in the show - I hope not it was ick.

I tried the novel the names are different and so is the story..I did see elements of the novel in the first two episodes but it's so different I wouldn't compare them
I didn't finish it. The CEO ML was a psycho and not in a hot red flag way but a petulant child way. Show seems to be much better.

I'm actually starting to really dislike those people. There's a lot to dislike about AI especially with art but in a low budget series like this it's just petty nonsense. And it's not going away.

Talk about fighting a losing battle. I certainly can forgive a low budget series using the tools available. I don't want to watch actors as AI but the rest of it I don't care

It's funny about tastes I found Sammy's children boring and dropped it.
