This show was great cheese at times yes but also very reflective of real life and how the ups and downs can be handled in life to obtain real love and happiness not perfection which is not real lol. Loved it cried a bunch and I’m here for the continuing of the story

Hmm I’m sure I saw all the issues handled. Jimmy being harassed was handled by by the one and only queen auntie in a hbic way may I add lol. The investor was handled when they decided that Damien would no longer be in the videos. And the ugly fight was handled when they got back together and dam asked for marriage. Jerry didn’t want to leave him they just were mad and needed space. Real long time till d do us part marriages work like this especially after many years and kids. They said what needed to be said and moved on lol. Also the bday wedding was fine It’s called a shared celebration. Not to mention the child is not old enough nor self centered enough to have a hey it’s my bday not yours kinda thinking. The whole point of the show or a big part is togetherness and celebrating and including everyone. But I’m glade u watched tho

To add to your point the scene when they were in high school and at Shane’s house. Shane left himself open for Jon. I know it’s hard to tell but I’ve seen this and been there. It’s a very Subtle move that people questioning or have feelings unspoken use to make a move without actually making a move. It sounds horrible but it’s a real thing of life. A Very young gay and scared thing lol

I agree although I do believe that he did love Carrie as well and if I’m not mistaken she is the comet that is talked about in the start of the movie… her coming in during childhood then leaving when Shane cuts her hair then coming back into their lives again and I’m pretty sure they didn’t realize she was the same person. So it’s kinda like the movie is saying they are almost meant they only work as a whole. And I think Carrie truly did love both of them. I think it’s a statement on love coming in many forms and not just the ways we think it to be. I think Shane saying the best friend line at the end was just the only way he could verbally express. Like back in that time it was common for ppl that liked more than one gender to not alway know how to express that it was romantic love with the gender that they aren’t “supposed “ to feel romantic for. At least that’s what I remember media showing that as most of the time lol.
