I agree. Viewers seem more focused on having their favorite actors/actresses and beautiful costumes at the expense of a good story. While filming Mo Li, Bai Lu’s fans were criticizing about her costumes not being beautiful enough (even though the novel often stated her character favored simple clothing).
I prefer watching costume drama rather than modern but having a hard time finding the good ones. So much of the same reheated cliches over and over. It seems they are focusing on quantity rather than quality.
His acting is incredibly realistic—every detail about him feels authentic. He’s my favorite too.
I’m so glad he’s finally getting more recognition. He’s a better actor than many who are more popular. His eyes, micro expressions , his killer half smile.
