Yes, in the novel MXY is very rich but the novel also says they both preferred simple clothes. She only dressed up when going to the palace. The fans also forget she was only 16 years old, had spent most of her youth away from public life, was in the military in a previous life. She wasn’t a spoiled young lady.

They should support Bai Lu and the whole cast. Doesn’t matter what she wears, the haters will have a go at it anyway.

Ye Li dressed up only when going to the palace. Otherwise, she and Xiu Yao preferred simple clothes.
