I'm waiting for this drama because I love the original 2001 and this one is the real remake, while others only have similarity on the concept (I don't say others drama copy or bad and I love others drama too). For me, it is safe to say that this drama has a clearly happy ending. I might say that the villain was punished too easily at the very end, but other than that it is a perfect finish ending.

But The Longest Promise reach 27.000 on first day airing... Is it mean TLP do very very well in China and create such a history?

The transition from 13 happy episodes to so many deaths in a single episode 14 was too cruel. But nevertheless, I still love this drama. Love the story, love the main couple always having each other through thick and thin, and love how strong and loyal the relationship between GJS & LYR is with their master, friends, and colleague. Great drama indeed!
I love how the first 6 focus on the main couple. For me this is oasis from my drama drought!
Some highlight from me :
- Even though ML is known as a playboy, he only plays cards at the brothel. More of it he is actually a kind man that gives his coat to a beggar.
- A strong female lead that knows what to do
- FL and ML encounter at make up shop. The powder box, it is written Godsent marriage. Destined, just like the drama title
- ML's family. What a supportive mother-in-law that is very rare in Chinese drama. Her conversation with FL in the morning after the wedding is very meaningful.
- How ML stood for FL on her homecoming day. The way he talk to female lead's father that he shouldn't interfree him teaching daughter but not say hit, even he never raise voice to FL. Acting or not acting, but i believe it comes from his heart.
- FL told her maid not to mention Ye ShiAn again. It is show how she respect him as her husband because she know ML and whole Gu family also respect her too. She know that he actually can hurt her in many ways but choose only to bicker and negotiate with her
- At the end of 6, ML pays more attention to FL. I think he is already, slowly but steady, fall in love with FL.

If youku want more money, they should prepare from beginning, for example by filming that audio or film a decent happy ending epilogue just like the novel. Then I believe they will get many many cash!

Although not everyone watch that another drama will watch this but many will. So there will people compare, people who still bad mood try watch then not focus or people deliberately avoided watching this drama for fear of the ending.
And sorry honestly for me, I think I will wait until this drama end before decide watch it or not. But will monitor from comment section, twitter, ig, etc. Let's see if there is something that make me eager to watch this in the middle. Very regrettable because this is one of the dramas I've been waiting for.

Yes, why they can't learn that many viewers demand happy ending. It's not like every masterpiece xianxia must have sad or open ending climax. If they plan happy ending plot from beginning I believe they can make an epic xianxia too without rush end. Then everyone can be happy, then they will gain more future watch.
