Great chemistry between the 2 leads...which in and of itself is a bit odd LOL! Chalk it up to great acting skills…
agee with you comment about jdrama's not being afraid to toe that line...i watch them because of that very thing...they often go just that layer deeper, whether a bad or good issue. I've been really working on my jdrama list. I've found quite a few I've liked. May be worthy to check my MDL out. I also get suggestions from the forums all the time.
Wow, this is way more than I thought it would be. One on my top 5. The acting by all 3 leads was amazing. You could feel Jo Jung Suk's emotions so intensely - it was as if he was right in front of you. Gong Hyo Jin complemented him perfectly.
2 things I don't really get....why her friend, the 2nd lead, hasn't confessed to her all this time. He seems like a confident guy down to earth guy. (I have 2nd lead syndrome, I have to admit)...and the other thing I don't get is why the heck she keeps pretending she knows what's in that jewelry box. Its such a weird story line...frankly, it would have made total sense for her to tell him she brought her little brother and he broke it than to go thru all these weird gyrations.
Nice because fast paced and a rom-com with real comedy. I did LMAO and Laugh Out Loud a number of times in the first half of this. Jung Il Woo was cute and handsome in this. Overall, there could have been stronger story, with less time on a few sections...had more potential. Although his right hand man, Lee Shi Eon, was a great comedy partner, I'd like to have seen less of him. I'd also like to have seen less of Jun II Woo acting crazy for her. Way too many episode on that. It just became repetitive. But overall, it was enjoyable and I did want to watch to conclusion. I thought the ending was going to end up with them going away for 2 nites and 3 days and that we'd see some more romance, but it didn't go there....instead ended with a mention of a S2. I liked that it was a happy ending but would have loved seeing another kiss.
i stopped watching it after episode 6 .. does it worth it?
yes, there is a story here that spans two time periods (well, 3 actually). I too wasn't all that interested in the discovery from mermaid to living on land story, but I did like the bigger story and the romance as it develops further along.
Am rewatching. Only now did i just realize I never entered it in MDL after I watched the first time. Am loving it the 2nd time as well. I am a LMH fan so of course I am biased. I really think the scene stealer in this show is Jun Ji Hyun. Her down to earth acting really made this even more fun to watch. I am on ep 4 and am happy not to have to wait a week for 2 more episodes. Happily binging.
This was so well done and so cute. I LMAO during the whole thing. The casting was great and the BTS videos are hysterical too. Note: This is a webdrama that is on youtube in HD. The links to the eps are in the comments for the show here on MDL
I really liked the lead guy Fukushi Sota..I specifically watched to learn about his works. He is sure handsome and a pretty good actor. I could have lived with stopping at ep 5 but i wanted to see how it ended. Not a good use of my time because the story really is layering elementary school behavior onto an adult woman age 30. It wasn't charming. Anyway, I enjoyed watching him and i really liked the CEO Tamaki Hiroshi and will look up some of his other works. I didn't even realize until afterward that Chiba Yudai was the same guy that was the lead in The Black Devil and the White Prince. I loved him as one of the leads in that drama. He was cute in this but he really showed off his acting chops more in that.
Now that the subtitles have been posted for final four, at last I've finished. Not sure I liked the ending…
I downloaded the subs directly from the woman who is doing them. She keeps people updated here: http://furritsubs.livejournal.com/ I also downloaded the RAW version of the 4 eps that she used when she created the subs. She provides the links to all.
Once she creates the subs, usually within a couple days dramacool.es and kissasian.com posts the shows already combined for you and u can live stream them instead of downloading. . So if you want right away, do it manually like i did above. If you area willing to wait a couple more days, i recommend watching for the show's eps to be posted kissasian.com where u can live stream them.
Now that the subtitles have been posted for final four, at last I've finished. Not sure I liked the ending but it probably would have been too tidy if it ended the way i wanted. Overall, interesting drama. I think the two young leads had great chemistry and I liked all their intimate and conversational scenes together. I could have lived without the whole Sanae Ebato dimension because it was just a distraction.
I would have liked more showtime tonite...
My spoiler comment about the ending below:
