Am really liking this guy. He handles these intimate scenes and the kiss scenes in Kuzu no Honkai really well. All I want to see is more works of this guy outside of a high school role. And hopefully something that is English subbed that doesn't rely on unpaid volunteers. If you agree, submit a request to dramafever and netflix to get this on their sites. Both are paid subscriptions and pay their people to do subs.
Very beautiful platonic love relationship! I want to see more of SSH in modern era. please bring him in the front…
So agree with you @neel1902 that the passion-level could use a boost and they aren't taking advantage of SSH in modern part of story. U echo my comment above. After 21 eps, we still have only seen a few glimpses. it is weird that they gave us a teaser last episode at the end and then no follow up in this episode. Oh well.
I don't know why some people think this is boring... I think it might take some 3 episodes to really get…
@amanda,LOL, the only reason i AM continuing to watch IS Song Seung Heon's face. And I'm on ep 21. Story is all over the map. Too much time spent on tangents that aren't moving the story fwd. Not enough time spent, as a percentage, on the present day intrigue and investigation. They should have brought SSH into the present day story way earlier. Way too much time on her stupid husband (Saimdang's). Not enough of focus on the romance btw Saimdang and Lee Gyeom..its there...but moving at a snails pace. We are so desperate for it, that the small amount of depth we are receiving we are grateful for.....
As of Ep 2: wow, the casting in this is AWFUL. the guy with the pock-marked complexion -- why??? And he needs a good eyebrow grooming. These 2 reasons alone are enough for his girlfriend to leave him. The lead actress, why is she wearing a skort in this show when her legs are so thin they look like chicken legs. The coworkers of hers...the girl that got her hired...she has a huge protruding forehead. If there was ever a reason for bangs, this would be it. I was recommended to watch this show but the first 2 eps are almost unbearably boring. Finally, what is up with the guy who loves sweatsuits - that haircut is frightening. Worst bowl cut i've ever seen. This show is so hard to watch, will give it one more ep b4 dropping.
A couple of factiods after I rewatched ep 1, the victim that died who was the newly wed who left behind her husband…
Thats like me, i was combing thru character names on multiple wiki's and unfortunately when i went back to rewatch ep 1, i only captured mom's name. Its like a game of clue!
A couple of factiods after I rewatched ep 1, the victim that died who was the newly wed who left behind her husband…
Ooooh ! Excellent info. Mystery solve. I didn't know that about the wives names not changing! I had thought from the beginning that it was him, but was disappointed with my findings. Thank u!
Am watching him in in Its Okay, Its Love right now. Watched Frozen Flower last week. He has such a captivating array of talent. Of course everyone knows this but need to express myself in the heat of the moment. All I want to do it watch more of him.
What would you say is the next film or drama of his I should watch next?
A couple of factiods after I rewatched ep 1, the victim that died who was the newly wed who left behind her husband and little by son is named Seo Yi Soo. And she is the same person the killer is having a flashback about with the priest her in ep 4. As far as I can see, Lt Kim is not the baby that father was holding back in 1986 in the police station unless he changed his name. His last name would be Seo.
Also, the last names of both coroners in 1986 and 2017 are both Kim. As is the 2017 Lt. Kim Seon Jae played by Hyun Min. I am not sure if there is any linkage. I am not clear what the relationship is between the 2017 coroner who was playing chess with him is.
Just passing along for those who are pondering the clues.
Interesting tidbit: this show is being directed by the same director that directed So Ji Sub in "I'm Sorry, I Love You" back in 2014....Lee Hyung Min (http://wiki.d-addicts.com/Lee_Hyung_Min)
This seems to move at the pace of a soap opera, not a drama. I have finished last episode and am glad its over.
Odd that they would choose this last scene in last ep to have a lack of continuity. She leaves the jewelry shop with a black shirt on, gold earrings, hair down. In front of office building she still has hair down and gold earrings on. We can't see her outfit due to winter coat. Then, she joins him on rooftop for fireworks with her hair up in a bun, an outfit from long ago, and no earrings. As if we wouldn't notice these details.
Her buying her own ring was a bit much, but all in all, it was a happy ending. I'm kinda glad we didn't have to watch an episode with them getting married and all. Ending where it did was good.
I am do glad not to watch her eyebrows anymore. I won't miss her wearing that cream sweater with black leggings to work every other day. Or those red shorts up to her ass. Those were just so wrong for that workplace. I will miss his laughing-smiles that he showed us here and there. Finally, i am glad we got to see him carry her off to bed 3 or 4 times. I wish we had a tiny slice of a bedroom scene to close the loop on that piece of their relationship. I think there was an opportunity missed to show just a tiny bit more intimacy as they transitioned into a full adult relationship.
“I hope that the you and me of tomorrow will be different from you and me today.” Awww! I'm in…
Its gonna be tough not having him in a show to watch after this. I loved that we had barely any gap from hwarang to this. And frankly, i mostly watched that show becuz of him ultimately. I see nothing in his lineup for upcoming works yet.
If this drama was done right it would have been a damn franchise. We got everything. The superpower girl - do…
This is one of those dramas that would have benefited from not being preproduces so they could have adjusted the script or storyline in response to viewer feedback. Regardless I am watching because I like watching PHS, Ji Soo and PBY. Maybe thats why I enjoyed watching it RAW just as much as with subtitles. lol
It's like I'm watching two dramas. A cutesty rom-com with a fantastical spin. And a dark suspense thriller.…
true. while I like the show, as one of my other buddies on a diff forum said, it almost puts the viewer in an uncomfortable spot wanting to enjoy the rom-com piece (KISS) while knowing that her friend is being tossed around by a kidnapper.
