You know, sometimes it strikes me, how she sometimes just ''wants''. She's a freaking person, and she wants, and it's the worst time, and not a ''good'' guy. But still she feels this guy, the flute recognizes this shiz too. I'm so sick of clear cut romance, and I love the ML. It's not like our guy sleeps at night So he's not the good guy, and he copes just fine, until the sun goes down. The more you get to know a person, people.

Like you feel flustered, and your senses start to wonkydonky, and your determination wobbles? Guy is dodgy, she's like, come closer - piss off- where are you going?- leave me alone. This is standard, when Mr not-so-nice, erodes your judgement.

I don't believe she was sent back with all her facilities in place, she's not firing on all cylinders, and she has to pass as ordinary anyway. I believe she doesn't have all her experiences intact, we never see's Shifu's face , so she probably doesn't recall it. Now I think it's the older ML. I think there's some extraordinary, timeywimey Tardis shit going on. The flute only calls to him, and her. It'd be funny, if a flute given to her, by her shifu, wasn't there to anchor her soul, AND to help them locate each other.

She doesn't want to love the ML, OK, she's trying not to, as the play also says, but shit ain't that easy. We don't choose who we love, and sometimes our hearts don't chose the clearest sounding bell. Sometimes we like the bell with a little grime.

Look, she wants to do the right thing here. She has a moral compass, but she also has a heart. I've seen 12 episodes, and things are becoming abundantly clear. ML is not a good guy, he's not a white hat person. He isn't evil, however. She is a warrior from the future, who died fighting the good fight, for good. She is pulled between yearning for a man, and her essence, and purpose. She was set on this path, she was entrusted with glorious purpose. She doesn't run to the prince out of romance.
She believes there's a line you don't cross, one which the ML tap dances on, he limbos under that line, and is ostentatious about it. It bothers her. When she wants to make morally sound decisions, she goes to the prince for the true North, as she knows ML will just use any means.
I've been waiting for a drama with a morally white hat heroine, and a black hat male lead. This isn't quite that, but it'll do. Here's hoping for a reprehensibly naughty male lead, in the future.

Legend of Chusen is one of the highest rated, in it's genre, ever. I've recently rewatched the whole thing. Don't watch the movie, Chusen 1 and 2 are excellent.
Is it ever explained what Wu Xin is in the end? I don't think it has been answered in season 1 or in season 2.
What I wanna say is, if we speculate. They do talk of the Heavenly realm, and how the monkey king has run havoc there. What if, what IF, Wu Xin is an immortal, from the Heavens, and he's been cast down, into the mortal realm, to be punished, shit, he could even be a Monkey King kind of figure. He is doomed to sleep, and forget his past lifetimes, and he wanders the world aimlessly, forever. He must have been naughty.
