It's so much better than lost tosh out there. I think I'm excitedly awaiting g each ep release because both leads are believable in their roles, he knows how to YEARN - single most important ingredient. The push-pull is far more interesting than people who are together by ep 21.
i never like Dylan Wang . He destroyed my favourite drama ever night 2
Ever Night s2 was just very poor in general. Ever Night s1 however was spectacular, best of it's kind. The direction, script, cinematography, editing were all subpar compared to what came before. The drama would have been so much better if these aspects kept s1 high end. It wasn't Dylan's acting, it was just a mess.
She can be very one note. She does that 'stare-y' thing in all her dramas, it's to the point where it's getting difficult to suspend belief that she's actually inhabiting all these roles vs portraying the same character in different dresses.
Before I forget. You seem as unafraid to criticise a drama where it's lacking as I am. I have a drama backlog…
I have seen about 2 eps of Fated Hearts, then I forgot somehow to watch more. I haven't found the will for Shadow Love yet as I feel FL is very hit miss.
When it comes to these dramas few hit very hard because they tend to be so superficial. My favourites still remain Ever Night s1, which is just outstanding and Legend of Chusen which is old but gold. Yang yang is however great in this type of setting, he's always very believable. This is very much worth watching if you like better cultivation storylines. I like that it doesn't force romance. I've yet to finish, can't seem to get past ep 24,im a little afraid that Yang Yang will not feature in a continuation, just like Arthur didn't feature in the qite frankly terrible Ever Night 2, which had nothing of what made Ever Night such a miracle.

I do have both of those on my watch list as well. I wish they just had separate rating for actors not just the flower rating, but something else for them to focus on rather than break the rating system.
Incredibly disappointed with this one. Far too many cliches and common tropes. Too many illogical things in the…
Before I forget. You seem as unafraid to criticise a drama where it's lacking as I am. I have a drama backlog since may 2025, so I haven't watched most dramas in the period may 2025 to now. Could I ask you if there is any drama in this time period I should be focusing more on? Before I try to go through my 15 drama backlog looking for the gems hidden.
Lost You Forever s2 kind of broke me, and so I fell in to habit of not watching anything for some time. I feel like I can't trust drama ratings anymore, as fans power vote actors rather than how compelling a drama truly is.

I was begging for the fl to change mid drama to someone just a little more masculine or believable. Oh My General was so good for this reason, acting more solid too. What was that other drama with a cross dressing more masculine FL who fell in love with a royal was it? That was also more believable.
I was sad too because the male lead has been a new favourite of mine since his short 10min drama series. I crave to watch him take on the drama world and come out in top.
I love the ML since his 10min ep short dramas and so I was really looking forward to this drama.
Am I fast forwarding the final 7 episodes wanting it to be over? Guilty. Zhou Ye is just not convincing, it was entertaining enough for the first half.
Hidden little gem, if you can get past oftentimes insanely cringe acting/lines from Esther. Certainly MLs best work so far, very much showcasing himself in every way possible here. He will for certain be cast as ML in something grand eventually, You know, something truly good and not just a famous IP.
Ju Jing Yi found a role she does very well, truly.
I'm 2 episodes in and fantastically bored.
That's not supposed to happen.
My favourite character is the Sabre and when it slams into the floor, making someone look like he shat pants everytime.
Tell me this is just half the story and it has a second part 😔

Did you see Louyang? I enjoyed her in that.
Little disappointed as Victoria was so brilliant in Changan, which is granted a completely different drama.
Easily 15 episodes too long no matter how you dice it.
