It's okay. While I think he showed affection to XY as Xiang Liu quite often, Fang Feng Bei wasn't another person,…
Yes, I think the face we're accustomed to is his face, I think the others he shifted to as he was turning back to his own face in s2, were faces the other heads may have preferred. As he said then that they are all him. He didn't turn in to the woman in that transition, making me think that he doesn't need to shift through each appearance he's used before he reaches his own. Xiang Liu as himself is the sum of all his heads, I wonder if they all loved her, or if some were resentful or indifferent.
There is a good chance for a Xianxia down the line, but there would also need to be a really good story. Yang…
It's because it's very much in the style of the old 'camp' ones in the early 2010's, Three Lives Three Worlds, 10 Miles of Peach Blossoms was the first drama to take a camp genre and make it epic. That was what 2017? or so. Things started to change around then. The Journey of Flower was also not very camp and also broke that rule of Xianxia equals campness.
Ladies, gents and gentlemints. I'm waiting for part 3 compilation of all the XL/XY scenes to hit youtube so I can just watch those over and over. I hope they include his epic end too, the whole scene is iconic.
I'm also hoping for a tag or a inbox message when the 'special' hits, supposedly TJC and YZ filmed something for a variety show in red robes.
Do we have a forum thread with all XL and XY media?
I need another historical drama with XL and XY as the main leads ! They're friends in real life, and good chemistry
There is a good chance for a Xianxia down the line, but there would also need to be a really good story. Yang Zi has also been in some mediocre ones like Immortal Samsara for example.
He died after six months and she was left alone. In other words, karma hit hard 🤣
In another life. Like the Katy Perry song, where the sum of the Karma has been paid off by death and reincarnation- or the reforming of his demon core which is what's making the land around his body unapproachable. This'll take a long time, a long longi long time.

Yes, FFB is just XL unbridled. You could say XL is the sum of ALL his heads, I paint them as all having different personalities, FFB is probably the jokester, the charming head... the 'Loki'. Xiang Liu allows his charm to take over, his 'people person' personality.
When we see ALL his faces as he transforms back in to XL in s2, those are likely all his heads and probably faces we've 'seen' but missed, just as she's probably missed them in s1, they've been somewhere in the crowd.
I recommend that people who are unsatisfied with any of the drama's characters read the novel, starting with the…
He will have been because XL has always been the authors favourite and her personal choice. She wanted this story to be impossibly difficult and she succeeded to such a high degree. She's incredible really.
This is a very good question. In the book, it was supposed to have melted away into a black pool of poison. In…
This is reasonable, possible nobody could touch him. It's also possible he was cremated with his men on that prohibited Peak set aside for Chenrong memorial.
I've heard so much about Rise of the Phoenixes, looks like a long drama. Is it worth it?
Intirely historical because it's an age when magic has passed. They are descendants of the couple in The Legend of Fuyao. In the novel they even communicate through space in time through a book.
i think some people being quite harsh to xiaoyao when it comes to xiang liu. we know it by heart that xiaoyao…
He made up his mind on that beach when she told him that letting him in her dreams was possibly worse than death. He had a moment of confirmation bias, as he knew himself that starting with her would end in her traumatised. Had that conversation not been such a core memory for him, if he had true confirmation from her who she wanted to spend her life with, it's possible the sway would have happened. He knew her trauma and wished for her everlasting happiness with no more pain. He did however have his moment of ''If I had known!'', yes if he had known through foresight, he ventured that perhaps a clean cut sometime in the future would have been less traumatising than all this pain she had to go through with Jing. Xiang Liu would have only hurt her traumatically once. But you know hindsight is perfect and they were too far gone.
I'm gonna read the novel now. I usually read the novel and THEN the drama comes out, this is one of those rare occasions where I just didn't want to. I'm desperate for closure, for those supposed iconic XY XL scenes that were omitted or on the cutting room floor.

One of my top 3 favourite male characters after that.
