This is why her parents were destined to fight to the death, they were Generals of opposite factions. XL and XY would have gone down the sam horrific route had XL not forced a change to their dynamics and forced her out of love, forced her away.
I spend most of my time watching this drama crying. I don't know where all this water comes from. I don't drink enough liquids to support this kind of loss of moisture. I touch my cheeks to check if they are pruned yet, am I aging myself more by the heartache or by my cheeks perpetual dampness?
We are made to carry the burden in this drama, the writer wrote it that way. We carry all the secrets and we cannot break the 4th wall. In the novel it isn't written quite this strict, we as readers do not have to carry the whole burden until the final page. I have this terrible feeling that she may force us to carry indefinitely. I do watch dramas to FEEL, something.. anything really, it's all good. And ending can be good, can be sad, depressing.. as long as I can really FEEL IT, if it 'takes me there', then it's a very accomplished drama. Maybe making me carry this burden is heightening the experience for me, but also maybe I just want old 9 Heads to have just a CRUMB.
Maybe I just want her to suffer just a LITTLE for what she's chosen not to see. Maybe my own damage is that I need people to suffer just a taste of agony that was always theirs in the first place. Maybe I cannot stand to see ANYONE suffer from lack of justice, from being misunderstood.
Maybe I'm equal parts joyous and devastated that true kindness, true love doesn't boast, it isn't proud , true love can whisper from a distance and remain at a distance.
