I honestly don't think any of the romance was "shoved in our face" like you said, the story is really focused on the company and PSY motivation for revenge. Yes it is a lot of bailout coincidences but it's like that in every drama?? Romances that are improbable, deus ex machinas that help the main characters. If you've seen any other dramas most likely you'd notice its a common occurrence with Korean dramas.

I’m only about halfway through but my god, the female teacher is really getting on my nerves. Her lack of awareness and constantly blaming the main lead for everything that happens to the students is getting on my nerves. Such a shame as everything else is pretty decent. Actually thinking of dropping it because of her, no idea what her character serves in purpose of the story or script other than to annoy the main lead and us the viewers
