Title That Summer
This. This. This. For this episode only. EP 7. This, is why you should watch this drama. Finally Thailand.

Something has been nagging at the back of my brain since I started watching this drama, quite like an itch you can't reach to scratch. I couldn't quite put my finger on why I returned after Ep. 1, because the premise felt too much like a teenage girls fantasy into what it would feel like to court, date, fuck and eventually marry Prince Charming .

I think, after this episode, I've finally sussed it. The dialogue between Lave and Wave, delivered by Winny and Satang is actually really captivating. I find myself captivated by them as a couple. Their dialogue feels natural. Slick. Believable. Quirky. I find myself enjoying both their bantering and bickering scenes. It flows. It flows beautifully. The writer(s), did an excellent job in this regard. I feel it. I feel them as a genuine couple, in love.

Lava, how I love thee. You make my heart soar. Enough already. ❣️I'm enjoying witnessing Lava's growth from fuck boy to "don't even think about looking or touching MY boyfriend." I'm also enjoying Pheng's growth. "Pheng, you've so got this - #fighting"

Oh, the music in this episode. I just can't live without music. I think it forms part of my DNA. Lol. So the two tunes that really touched me were: Tage - "Little Sad Eyes". Col. Curry's Selfhelp Orchestra - EP and the tune playing when they shot to the start of the evening on the beach, which is from John Runefelt - "I'm on the Move (feat. Sybil shanell)."

I find myself both surprised and intrigued - seated and ready for the next installment. Bring it on!

Ps: If you're really, really, naughty #Snigger. If you're not sure about watching this. To be honest, I wasn't for the first two, possibly three episodes, just watch this one. I know, I know, not the de rigueur, but it might tickle your senses to then go back to re-watch the beginning. I actually do this sometimes. After all, ultimately, you know they're going to be together.

I don't think he would have even been able to get "it" up if she did insist on consummating their marriage…
I’d also like to believe, not only could he not get it up, but would actually vomit in his mouth at the thought! 🤮#Snigger

Again, I hear you. However, for me, throughout, he's been far too weak and submissive. I get and appreciate he wants to keep Sasin alive and is exhausted, but not at the detriment of his dignity and I believe inner disgust at Pin for her actions. There is absolutely no way he's not burning with anger and resentment inside against her - that's very much human nature at the very least when cornered in such a selfish way.

I'd have had more respect for him if when he arrived back in the palace, he continued to never look her in the eyes, or engage in conversation with her unless it was absolutely necessary. I would have had so much respect for the writer if the vibe indeed was: "Welcome to your living hell Pin!"

Believe me, I hear you and don't entirely disagree with your thought process. However, he is spineless. He could grow a backbone. He absolutely doesn't need to satisfy her sexually, or give her a child. She's very aware she's in a loveless marriage and what those consequences bring... and especially with a gay man.

Actually, she's doing a stellar job as an actress, because she does piss me right off in her role as Pin, which says how well she's delivering her character.

Title Love in the Moonlight Spoiler
Saenkaew's character is beyond spineless. He's weak and gutless. The fact that he'd even contemplate having sex with her, says a great deal about his character. At least grow some much needed balls to say something along the lines of: "You've got me now. However, you'll never have my love or heart and I'll never give you a child." Anything against that pitiful cry baby excuse of a delusional, fucked up woman to take the narrative away from "poor, poor, me."

Speaking of Pin, her agency should acquire a gig with the mascara cosmetic company they're using. Because, damn, that mascara has been working overtime for at least 5-episodes now. She's definitely demonstrated its huge buying power for waterproof mascara.

For me, shows like this grow tedious and lose their charm when the antagonists have the upper hand until the final scene. I'm actually looking forward to this concluding tomorrow for this very reason. It also means that the show has no re-watch value for me.

What a surprise and delight this series is. This is utterly beautiful viewing. Finally we have a writer out of Thailand who can actually tell a beautiful, captivating BL story.

I posted this on Stronberry's Instagram page.

"Long Time No See" will forever remain my most loved and favourite BL EVER. However, this simply wasn't it. I need to be honest, The premise of the story was good. The acting was subpar with no natural, believable chemistry between our leads. It was flat. It was lifeless. It became boring. There was no believable emotions. I could tell they were reading from a script and the kissing scenes were simply cringe. Again, because it felt acted.

Like I said, I adore what you're trying to do Strongberry, but this wasn't it. I recommend you go to My Dramalist to read the reviews. I want from you the brilliance you delivered with Long Time No See. With love ❣️

I think I'm going to say what I hope many of us are thinking. I only continue to watch this because it is Strongberry, whom I abolutely love and adore and want to support. "Long Time No See," will forever remain in my top 5 most loved BL's.

However, this is so not it. This is not you. I get you don't have the money, I get you don't have sponsorship. I hear you. I wish you'd have saved the little pennies you had to create something like "Long time No See."

The background scenes, by way of the bar, the office, are in the most part, unbelievable. I can visibly see I'm not in a bar or office. Was your budget so tight that you couldn't have any places or extras?

I love you so much, however, this drama is beyond boring. It's lacklustre. The leads feal like robots delivering lines. Min U's character portrayal is dull. I miss your quirky way of storytelling. There's nothing quirky or indeed engaging for the viewer in this drama.

Save your pennies Strongberry to do better ❣️

It is not that she can't read or indeed write. She's dyslexic, which is a learning disorder, meaning she has difficulty reading due to problems identifying speech sounds and learning how they relate to letters and words. For example: reading the word "now" as "won" or "left" as "felt."

This is shockingly bad. Dreadful script. Bad writing. Subpar acting and all the usual lazy cliches, alongside the pathetic and unhealthy, shallow obsession with looks. Dropped.

Is this really necessary? It’s beyond childish and seriously irritating 😠 Perhaps consider reigning it back, instead of ruining the flow of the page for others.

And so it concludes. What an absolute load of utterly hairy bollocks! How can a writer and director, allegedly experts in their field, have their audience completely despising a lead character from start to finish!? They actually had the audacity to believe this was good, engaging storytelling for viewers. Oh, do fuck off!

This drama literally crashed and burned due to seriously bad writing and direction. The script did a huge disservice to the actors, who could indeed act. It was repetitive, which in turn, made it exhausting. The chemistry between the two leads, supposedly in love from middle school, was beyond unbelievable, let alone their friendship, because it simply wasn't there.

The direction of Ba Woo's character was so damn miserable to witness episode-after-episode. I could count on one hand how many times he actually smiled or indeed showed any real emotion.

I think it's obvious I'll never re-watch this again. It's a 2/10 for me and that's simply for the actors who rocked up to work daily to deliver this train wreck of a script.

Getting a little irritated, why does Gawin only ever talk out of the side of his mouth?
Ha! I thought I was the only one who spotted this and I find it very jarring. Whenever Gawin speaks, I always find myself fixated on the right corner of his mouth, as it drops down slightly. Thinking back, having watched his other dramas, it was the same. It's definitely part of the way he speaks and how he emotes.
