OMG! What absolutely beautiful viewing. Such a surprise and delight. Each episode had me captivated and truly touched my heart. Those men, damn, those men and their hearts - their parents must feel seriously proud about the boys they raised. Such warmth and genuine empathy for the villagers.

I loved Park Bo Gum's journey, from feeling so insecure leading up to his first cut, to the point where he called upon the production team to practice in the early hours, prior to opening. The fact that he took hairdressing classes during his insane filming schedules, says a lot about his commitment to the cause. Finally, that man could cut, dye and style hair beautifully.

I adored Lee Sang Yi's interactions with the children. Damn, how those three children touched my heart. Sharp as fuck. Clever. Funny. Thoughtful. Kind. Again, their parents on watching this series must feel so proud that they raised such beautiful humans. I was touched by the ends Lee Sang Yi went to, to find the lost bracelet - he was so obviously upset.

...And to our chef, Kwak Dong Yeon. His journey was oh so subtle, but hugely impactful. That man cooked from the heart. Him saying that he struggles to let people into his life, but did with the villagers really touched me, Boy did good. Boy did very good indeed.

My favourite lady was Miss Ra. What a woman. What a woman indeed. I loved her. Learning my fellow tongue, English, at 92 years old had me tearing up. She made for delightful viewing.

So... and this hasn't happened since 2022. I'm giving The Village Barber a 10/10. Love it so much.

Firstly, learn to articulate yourself. Your words don’t make sense, only your ignorance. I’ve got no time to play with unintelligent children… and especially as the latest episode of “Siren’s Kiss” has just dropped! Whoop! Whoop! Beyond excited 😝 😆🤣 Ciao for now 👋🏾

Oh please. Can you hear yourself? Grow up. Are you bored? Do you crave attention? Every country in the world has its issues. Take your narrative to an audience / forum where you can be seriously heard and potentially make a difference. As I said, this just isn’t it. The smart ones amongst us will literally block you. Your message lost in a void of, just piss off! #JustSayin’

… and your point is? This is a forum to discuss this particular drama. What it isn’t, is a forum to discuss South Korean culture, its politics or issues. I’d recommend finding a suitable forum where you can unleash your pent up anger. They exist. This isn’t it.

On His Man Season 4 Mar 13, 2026
It wasn't bad. However, it really didn't make for captivating viewing. I find myself astounded how so many Korean reality TV dramas showcase people so very, very introverted, to the point where they are literally crippled by the thought of conversing with a human being. It honestly blows my mind. The question always comes to mind. "Why did you sign up for this?"

Irrespective of whether you're introvert or extravert, honestly, how do you get to your 20s and 30s and not have any basic knowledge of how to converse with another human being? I've seen it with Korean reality TV on both heterosexual and gay dramas. It spanks of all being about how pretty you are - the physical perspective, which naturally grows beyond tiresome as a viewer, once you see there is no depth of personality, character or charisma.

I ask myself, do their parents, life, schooling, interactions throughout life especially in a work environment, not teach them how to interact with other humans? It is all so incredibly vacuous, solely based on looks and zero personality. Honestly, I don't base this rant on all the contestants, because some like Kim Su Min, Oh Min Sung, Eum Hyeok Jin and Taichi to a point, could converse, had personality and hold a conversation.

I just heard myself asking, "How the fuck have you got to this age in life and still have no basic concept of having, or indeed holding a conversation." It's just cringe viewing for me. Don't even get me started on the long, cringeworthy silences. I do get it, a lot we don't see due to editing and they were only together for just a week, but I have to say, all this reality TV shite is beyond, beyond vacuous as we all know.

What I did really love about this series is the friendships made. The final episode with them all in the pool made me smile a lot.

It's a 4/10 for me.

I'll be honest, I thought this drama would be another shit show out of Thailand. Style and beauty over substance and depth of script. I've never got Pond and Phuwin together besides looks. Never enjoyed Phuwin as an actor - same old same old springs to mind. Rich, spoilt, entitled brat in pretty much every Thai drama. Pond, of course, will ever remain delectably handsome. That man was born with some serious of-the-scale beauty genes.

However, how spectacularly wrong was I about this drama. What a surprise and delight this was. How I laughed. I Laughed a lot and 99% out loud at Pond's character as Thee. Pond was literally written for this role, just so fucking funny and Phuwin complimented him beautifully. This role suited Phuwin so well. So good to finally see him start to evolve as an actor.

Its been a while since I enjoyed a Thai BL drama to this extent. I was actually beginning to think I never would.

It's a well deserved 9/10 for me and purely for the laughter. And yes, I would re-watch.

Utterly bloody hilarious. So bad and so good. I laughed those padded briefs off. However, kinda weirdly sexy. Maybe, I'm just horny.

Bravo! I dropped this very early on and gave it a 1/10.Anything so bad I have to run screaming, gets a 1/10 from…
Greetings MY most eloquent of friends. NYE as a birthday, can be lovely on one hand and a nightmare on the other. The expectation is that you're always up for a party. Mostly, I am, but sometimes I'm not and simply want to chill the fuck out, quietly at home.

I so hear you on the booze front. Many of my friends have gone in the same direction as you. The others, like me, laugh and call ourselves "functioning alcoholics." Do you have this saying in the US? I just adore wine and can't ever imagine myself giving it up. My only rule is, I only drink it at the weekend.

What I hate most with boozing is the loss of my memories. I have so many naughty shenanigans in my brain with friends - mischievous naughtiness springs to mind, so me, many of which I've sadly forgotten.

Hilariously, I was home alone on Saturday evening. I'd sent hot BF to go out and party with his friends at a gig I wasn't feeling. 2am in the morning, said BF returns to my home (bear in mind he lives on a boat) with friends and randoms to party at mine (10 in total). They wanted me to DJ for them. I'm a fiend when it comes to music. Funny. We partied until 9am in the morning. Love this. Love the randomness.

I'm sending you a big Jolly Golly hug MY friend for 2026. Oh, and at your request, I gave the BF the most excellent of BJ's. He wept in ecstasy. 👍🏽😆

Happy New Year MY friend. It was actually my birthday yester eve, so me and the said hot BF (which he chuckled at), are a tad delicate today. Hair of the dog, I say, hair of the dog, as us Brits say,

There's something about this drama that honestly, really touched me. Firstly, I think because I could never differentiate AE from Enaga by way of looks, irrespective of the bad wigs. Costume did an amazing job in this regard. Respect.

In my mind, they just always looked and acted like two different people. Different vibe. Different confidence. Different dress. Different walk. So, huge respect to the wardrobe team who managed to fuck with my brain. I thought Enaga looked absolutely beautiful (wig resplendent) walking down that catwalk. His beauty captivated me.

Contrary to what a minority have posted on this here forum, I found Sumiura Chiaki, utterly adorable. His face. It's structure. His vibe. His vulnerability. I got it. I think the writers did him proud.

It's 6/10 for me. Would I rewatch? I don't think so. Why? I'd have liked more time with them showcasing to us, why Chiaki no longer had that "idol love vs Enaga love". I believe they did differentiate it, but perhaps, not to my satisfaction.

Still a really good watch.
