OMG! Now, itās my turn to misunderstand you. Apologies ššæš¤£š¤£š¤£. I thought you were talking about Akk finally admitting he likes Ayan. So funny! Lost in translation hey š¤£š¤£
Ah, yes, now I get you and totally agree. š Thank you so much for taking the time to clarify. However, I think itās because this is totally HUGE for him and so against his personality because heās so invested in the school. However, he has to finally come to terms with the fact that his heart canāt lie when it comes to Ayan.
When you say āengineerā would you please mind explaining, I donāt quite understand and donāt want to reply misunderstanding you. Thank you so much ššæ
I hope this is not the way you see asexuality in general because ouch š
Why would I ever stereotype a-sexuality? As all sexual orientations it comes in many different forms. One of my closest friends is a-sexual by the way and is nothing like Thua. Just commenting as I see it in my opinion from this drama alone.
'you are warm like a microwave' is a line that i'm gonna use with my bf lol
š¤£š¤£š¤£š¤£! I thought exactly the same, actually posted it above in my comments. Of all the romantic analogies you could pick, you chose a microwave? Hilarious. WTAF š± š¤£
Aw, this episode. So damn beautiful. Ayanās character continues to blow my mind. Heās so brave, honest and completely out there in his love for Akk. Thereās no doubt in my mind, he absolutely understands his man. Pushes when he needs to push against Akkās fears and defences. Listens when he needs to listen and consoles when necessary - huge emotional intelligence and displays of love. The writer really wrote some stunning lines for him and the Director ensured it was delivered oh so beautifully. Adore his character. Adore how Akk canāt help but be mesmerised by him. The scene about the uncle was really lovely. Those boys are now united. Canāt wait to see how they take down that bastard together.
Someone wrote previously that Thua comes across as a-sexual and I find myself agreeing. Whenever Khan looks or delivers his lines to him, you can feel it in his eyes - pure passion, commitment and love. However, I canāt help feeling with Khanās character that heās sort of dead between the eyes, almost lifeless and unfeeling. He seems to exude zero passion or energy.
Also power to the feminine gays. Wonderful to watch a drama where theyāre not stereotyped. Quite the opposite. They are indeed fearless. Love them.
Ps: Youāre warm like a microwave⦠did I hear right? Actually made me laugh out loud. Of all the romantic analogies you could pick, you actually chose a microwave! Hilarious!
Really enjoyed the first 2-episodes of this drama. So excited for it as the Director worked on the We Best Love series as did the writer, who also wrote History 1, 2 and 3. For me, the Taiwanese are the absolute leaders when it comes to telling a great BL story. Very respectful, knowing and understanding of gay culture, whilst delivery a captivating story bravely. Iām so here for this and very excited. Great start. Bloody adore the Taiwanese accent too - so damn sexy!
hmm I personally feel like she just romanticizes it. Many of the SA situations in her books/series are very romantic…
I so hear you . I donāt feel attacked in the slightest. Quite the opposite. You were simply telling me your thoughts and opinions, which I respect. However, I donāt agree with you. As ever in life, it would indeed be boring if we all agreed on everything.

I couldnāt care less whether youāre straight or gay. What I do care about is if you can firstly write, tell an engaging story, understand the gay culture youāve chosen to write about, show respect for it through thorough research and most importantly, show respect to its community and audience. Basically, do the job well youāve CHOSEN to do. Hope youāre listening Oh! My Sunshine Night!!

If Iām honest. I like her. Sheās brave. She gives me something different and unexpected from so many sugar coated BL teenage dramas. I find her writing refreshing and delivery from writing into delivering a script and drama, both professional and oh so knowing about the gay world. Iāve liked all her series. They feel real to me. I think she has the confidence to deliver exactly what she sees, irrespective of backlash. For me, I donāt always want to see the fluffy side of gay life. I find myself beyond happy that gay dramas finally, finally, donāt always conclude with an unhappy ending, (Gagaoolala, you need to seriously sort your shit out) as if they should be ashamed. However, I at times need realism and Mame in her own way, definitely brings that and delivers for me.
