both Naksu and Jin Bu Yeon are inhabited in a single body however when Jin Mu performed the Spell, he basically corrupted Naksu's soul, the one in controlled of the body and eventually led her to a rampage when she throw herself into the lake, i presume the lake cleanse Naksu's Soul and due to the damage cause by Jin Mu's Spell, the lake decided to create a new body and that is Naksu's original body and to save Naksu's soul they have to merged with Bu Yeon's soul to create a single soul and that's how the current Bu Yeon aka Naksu come into existence.

i think the reason why she's able to sense the Ice Stone Energy because Bu Yeon's soul still reside in her original body where Naksu who were currently in controlled of (basically one body two souls situation), during the last episode or 2 in season 1, you can see Mu Deok started to remember stuff but it's not a memory of Naksu's but a memory of Bu Yeon's including calling the Jin Matriarch "Mother".

my theory on Yang Hua is that prior to the start of the story, he is a man full of passion and ambition who had a stable job but something happen down the road and eventually he would gave up all of that and become an individual who has a nihilistic view of life

yeah, it literally blew out of my expectation before it's came out, i though Immortal Samsara would be the its Xianxia this year but after this drama come out, man it's does better than Immortal Samsara and especially the character development of both the male and the female lead, which Immortal Samsara lack
