for me it was Ever Night 2, i really enjoyed the first season and i went into the second season with high expectations but after it came out and watched a few episode, i got disappointed and immediately dropped that drama

if you considered Li Jian Cheng character in the beginning of the drama, you can tell he's up to no good. and you can see in one of the scene where he led a troop into what it look like a palace, so it's pretty obvious that he's planning to overthrow the Emperor and made himself Emperor however, he failed because Li Shimin knew about this and put down his rebellion which eventually led to his family downfall.

yeah, she's seem to be afraid of him also from the character of Li Jian Cheng, i think he is a power hungry conniving individual compare to Li Shimin, who actually righteous in many way. to describe Li Chang Ge Personality, she's more similar to Li Shimin than her father Li Jian Cheng

nar, i think Li Jian Cheng planned to overthrow Li Yuan (Emperor Gaozu of Tang) but Li Shimin save his father and thus Li Jian Cheng's coup d'etat failed which led to his family downfall

it's basically led me to believed that Li Shimin is Li Chang Ge's biological father, he properly know that Li Chang Ge is his daughter however Li Chang Ge did not. you can see that she's more closer to him than her father Li Jian Cheng whom she's always afraid of.

Li Chang Ge and Li Shimin relationship intrigue me, why? because he loved her like a father loved his daughter, i also suspected that Li Shimin is Li Chang Ge's biological father, you know before her mother married to the Crown Prince and as you mention she was in a relationship with Chang Ge's mother before. also i suspected that Ashina Sun's best friend turn enemy is Ashina She Er (whose played by Kudousi Jiang Ainiwaer), the General of the Wolf division whose always get in Ashina Sun way all the time.
