One of my favorite dramas of all time. I loved every moment of it. The cast was amazing and the leads did such a great job with their roles. Especially Shin Hye Sun. Her range with her acting is just amazing to watch. I'm going to watch the prequel now on Viki. But what a ride this drama has been. 10/10 for me. Perfect <3
I have seen multiple dramas with Shin Hye Sun (FL). And I have to say this is probably her best role that I've seen her in. She's such an amazing actress. I'm always engaged with her scenes every time they come up. Not once have I been bored.
How does watch party on Viki works? Do you have to pay to be premium or something?
Watch Party on Viki has certain features which is locked for free users. They can host dramas that are old or currently aired dramas which is limited at first but*, over time it will give you full access to them. I just checked right now True Beauty has the first 4 episodes released for free users on Viki. After that you need a Viki pass standard subscription to join the party to continue watching it. I'm hoping that Viki does something similar like Disney plus with its watch party. I would like to have one account and make multiple profiles for my family and then we can all have a watch party together.
With 14 episodes in I have to say this drama has been very good imo. There was never a dull moment for me. I was always laughing or crying. Regardless of how it ends the journey from this point has been great. This is also my first drama that I've actually watched with multiple people (family) at the same time on Viki. Loving the addition of the watch party.
Also my favorite couple is the older sister and the teacher. <3
I felt this drama had its up and downs. For me the only two characters that made the story interesting was Dong Jo Woo and his mother. I also wish they would have explored his dark side more. The build up to it was exciting to watch. Even though it had a predictable ending i thought the drama ended somewhat* strong. It was good. 7.8/10 for me.
Both dramas deserve a chance. Alice in borderland was probably my favorite out of the two, but that's not a knock on Sweet Home. That one was great also. I want multiple seasons from both dramas.
Shin Hye Sun (female lead) never ceases to amaze me with her acting. This is why she always be my favorite actress. She can do it all. And in this drama (which she is carrying btw) she is freaking hilarious. I love it so much. I need more of her in every scene. I can't stop laughing at every scene that she is in. LOL
