I am fast forwarding literally everything I’ve been bored for this whole thing and I’m on episode 18 trying to finish this. I also don’t really like dropping dramas so I’ve been trying to just watch it while FF but stopping at certain parts. I am absolutely sick and tired of her two friends,An Jiaxin and Liang Xia,and I never watch any parts with them in it. It’s an absolute FF when they come on I don’t even care if I miss vital info. I get that the relationship between the three of them was the premise of the beginning of the show, and like the basis on how everything else was built, but they should’ve dropped both characters after like three or four episodes of them being shown. Both of them just aggravate me every single time and Liang Xia is such a baby who makes everything worse and is so childish she just pisses me off. Also like come on we are on ep 18/24 and we are still not even officially together. I am just beyond annoyed. Conclusion, I probably will not rewatch this. I would rather watch TXW in New Life Begins then this. Please don’t go hating on me I just wanted to express my opinion.

Am I one of the few people that like Yang Chao Yue’s acting? Basically all the comments on her other main roles is that people don’t like her acting and thinks she needs to play support roles and shouldn’t be given any main roles!! I don’t agree with this at all. I understand that people have their own preferences but, I don’t understand when people are like hating on her for her acting.
Not everyone can be like this amazing actor or actress or like have like innate skills for acting everybody start somewhere. And even if you read her MDL profile says that she didn’t start acting until 2018 so it’s not like she’s been acting for a very long time, so I Hear people are coming from kind of by saying that they would rather have a different actress. But at the same time you can’t expect a person to grow and be better at acting if they’re only playing in support roles. They need to be given their time to shine. I really enjoy her acting and yeah, I get it and I understand that a certain actor or actress’s acting could like bring down a because of like the quality of acting if it doesn’t deliver the same way as per say the other main actor or maybe even a support role.
What also bugs me a lot is when people compare certain actors or actresses or even like say something like they think another actress or actor should get the specific role that is being given, rather than who they gave it to. Especially when they’re talking about actors or actress’s who have done a lot more. Like how do you expect others to grow if you only want to see the same exact actors or actress’s all the damn time. Can’t you just enjoy a drama without criticizing an actor or actress and their skills? I’m not hating or disrespecting peoples opinions but, it’s just that it’s so redundant and useless comparing or saying anything bc it’s not like these production companies are going to listen to you and stop casting someone just bc you think something about someone. It’s ridiculous!
Please just watch and enjoy instead of hating on someone’s acting capabilities or comparisons. It’s getting annoying.
Ok. I’m almost done with episode 8 and I’m bawling my eyes out and also annoyed a little. Why does she keep calling him Song instead of father?? At a time like that in the pouring rain while she’s kneeling she still called him Song. It would’ve been perfect if she had called him father in that moment. Does she ever call him father?
Tbh I actually wasn’t surprisingly lol. I am glad it went that route. She was able to get her “revenge” so to speak. Her daughter was the cherry on top
OK, so this question is for the people that have already read the novel. I am partway through the 16th episode, can someone please tell me if the king is really Xia Yao’s father? I don’t mind spoilers, but please put a spoiler tag and please just answer who her father is and nothing else, no other information, please. I know this is probably just a weird thing to say but I am not going to continue the episode until you guys let me know who her father is. I don’t know why, but it’s just gonna bug me if I keep watching even though it might answer later on in the episode, I kind of would like to know right now before I continue. I absolutely LOOOVEEEEEE episode 12. Xiang Liu and Xiao Yao❤️❤️❤️ I will forever ship them I don’t care!! They are endgame for me no matter what. I love the way he looks at her now with so much love
I like this so far but I’m getting kind of annoyed on how long it’s taking for Xuan to realize who Yao is. It feels a little draggy. Plus I’m loving how different Xiang Liu is right now. You can see how much he’s starting to care for Yao, especially with his facial expressions and his actions.
