Teenagers' brains are physiologically different. They are less risk adverse, learn better and have less metacognative control.

So, if the characters minds have gone into teenagers bodies, so they're operating on teenager hardware, even if the software is that of a 55 year old!

This means they will probably act like teenagers and be at the same developmental stage.

2. Giving a heart necklace before you've even had a kiss.
3. The horrific violinists.
4. The "we're in love" montage episode before we even really know the characters.
But most of all number 1. It's not romantic, it's heart breaking.
