BL in Asia right now is where gay dramas were in Europe 15 years or so ago: until people catch up and being gay becomes more acceptable, it will be hard. The dramas do well by normalising being gay.
Remember that beyond this, LGBTQ+s are living real lives. These shows help with acceptance.

I like the mystery element to it.
I don't mind being confused sometimes: it makes me want to come back to find out more.
The acting is also quite good.

He was great: his comic timing, his facial expressions, he really made Oat come alive.
So he doesn't have Mew's body: that just a different type of prejudice, same as colourism.
