Even if it's an adaptation why make real people act like that? If someone wants to watch cartoons they should watch the manga. This is why I don't recommend these dramas to my friends even when the stories are so good. The acting is so ridiculous.
I understand the smiling bit though. Women are told to smile all the time, men like to see that.

Lately DC has started uploading jdramas with subs, maybe some kind soul has taken pity but there are still so many that I wanted to watch but had to let go :(

I've noticed that chinese dramas, bloopers, behind the scenes are the most easily subbed. Even youtube has many of them available for free. Only Japan makes it impossible :(

why don't jdramas learn that there is a difference between cartoons and real life? it's mostly the actresses who behave so weird and in this one they keep smiling for no apparent reason. japan has some interesting stories to tell but their acting style needs to get updated.

Yes. This could have been a really good drama but some weight loss company seems to have sponsored them. And I agree, the ML was a good person but wasn't give much time.
The moment she decided to lose weight in order to grab a guy, she lost my respect. What if she breaks up with him and the next guy prefers fat women? Her life's agenda was messed up.

if only we knew one day learning japanese would come in handy. I'm jealous of those who know and can enjoy their lovely dramas lol

female lead's baldy senior comes across as a pimp. and instead of actually trying to get money from anywhere else she too readily keeps going to the male lead. the writer of this story couldn't come up with anything better lmao

It's stupid to be strict when it comes to art. One should always try to bring in more viewers like china, korea or thailand. I gave up on many j-dramas bcoz there were no subs and no one wants to waste time looking for subs while so many dramas from other countries are easily available.

I can't even find free fansubs for some dramas. Whereas even bad chinese or korean dramas are easily available. Do you know why jdramas aren't subbed by more people or websites?

Dropped at the third episode. The drama started off by making her look ugly, putting her in clothes that don't fit her. Doesn't Japan have clothes that fit all shapes and sizes? The female lead behaves like a child which is such a turn off. This is not called being innocent. Squeaky mouse.

She needs professional help, she shed weight for a man and was ready to gain for him. No self esteem as if being fat is a crime.

Is there no drama where the woman is fat, doesn't lose weight to attract men and yet has a great romance? Teenage girls might not like such a drama but I'm sure it'll strike a chord with some.
