A lost plot-painful to watch

This show was just wow i was flabbergasted by the levels of absurdity that they were willing to go. Two worlds was a great premise to potentially riveting show however somehow it all went to Potts!! All the right ingredient were there but poor port execution, direction, screen writing and acting .

From poor acting from or sexy leads to stories that didn’t make sense- diseases that can be managed by poop berries, snake bites from nowhere, loose ends and I DONT KNOW WHERE TO BEGIN WITH HOW BAD THIS SHOW IS.

I had high hopes for MAX AND NAT i have been a fan since they started but this show takes the cake. THEY NEED TO DO SOMETHING better. Nat can cry and thats pretty much it.

MAX appears to be one dimensional he is the same guy in naughty babe, cutie pie and now this show. I RECOMMEND THAT YOU watch because it will either make you laugh with how ridiculous it is or cry

Terrible don’t start you will be disappointed

THIS drama had great potential however the delivery fell flat for me. The actors were okay . From thE leads to supporting actors I did not feel they had any chemistry. I have to give it to the evil disciple she nailed her role. I truly felt she was evil and cruel. If you are looking for drama with all the feels and PALACE intrigue this is not it. The 1st kiss is ep36. I never felt like the ML and FL lead were lovers. I was confused that the prince suddenly had feelings for the FL after he found OUT she was female?? I HAVE SEEN OTHER CROSS DRESSING SHOWS and generally you can see a triangle coming from a mile away but this was just sudden. The time hop in the least few episodes was just lazy. It took away from really exploring the dynamics between crown prince and FL after he had denied her the love of her life. Then all of sudden the FL lead is released from the palace and it was as if i was in completely different show with a new story line.I would recommend that you don’t watch. I ended up skipping the last few episodes. I finished only in th hopes that it would getter better but it DIDN’T!!!!

I don’t know how this managed to get a 7.9 on here.

toxic man/ obsessed woman

so to start, I love these types of dramas. I have watched all from go ahead to exclusive fairytale to love in a galaxy!

The story started of strong , I loved the build up 🆙 of the friendships each special in their own right. The overarching family issues and how they impacted those relationships. These stories were well developed and served to move the story along as well give character development. The actors played their roles really well and gave depth and dimension to the characters.

The issue for me was- I did not understand the ML’s struggle or thought process I would say from when he decided to quit math! I was further confused by the FL who seemed to have unwavering loyalty and love for a ML who does not seem to care about her. All the decisions he made were not thought out, did not consider the FL feelings and always were selfish! This is not to diminish his experience of abuse., because i can see how parenting played a significant role-

FL in many ways since childhood was able to show love to the ML and also to her friends. At no point in the drama was I convinced that the ML loved her too! I haven’t read the book and understand that the ML experiences are more fleshed out but I can only judge from what I see. She could have loved him as friend, because explain to me how one can just leave after a declaration that of love and a first kiss! No communication for two years. The dumped FL then spends years talking to herself justifying her obsession instead of pursuing healthy reciprocal relationships. All the while hurting her friends along the way.

In all honesty this was an enjoyable drama but I hated the fact that I found myself rooting for the SML/mr pilot and couldn’t understand why he didn’t get the girl. The drama gave me no redemption/healing journey for the ML as to why he deserved a happy ending.

Typical fluffy trope

This show is pretty much boss and me 2014 reincarnated. Han Zhang plays CEO very well and he did not disappoint in this one. He is one of my favourite actors because he always manages to create chemistry with the FL. I also liked the FL and loved her tenacity and passion. The romance scenes were amazing and one thing that I like is that you don’t get those dead fish kisses, its passion. If he missed her you felt it. Kudos for his acting. This is good show to watch if you are looking for fluffy romance and no complicated twists and plots. It’s not a new story but it was somewhat enjoyable if you ignored the below.

1- France and stalkers storyline- this was absurd and probably used as filler to make 45 episodes.
2-Too long it did not need 45 episodes to tell this story
3- The strange storyline about ML’s almost wedding. Like how is this something to fall out over?
4-typical supporting FL who appear to have this thing about one sided love. It’s as if in China its a ‘I WiLL make you love and even if you don’t i will spend forever with to keep trying’. I hate this because a lot of C dramas use this .
5 unrealistic messy

Allen Ren ??

I m here, for Allen Ren Of course? He is gorgeous and easy on the eyes and his acting skills developing excellently.

The story is about love, politics, betrayal, deception, loyalty things like that. I mean the young girl growing up to be a beautiful lady and is actually in love with her so called mentor but forbidden to be together like swoon worthy? However, this potential of a love story didn’t really Shine through. There isn’t much steaminess and sauciness that makes us feel like we re on clouds I like a subtle romance and build up but to me this drama did not execute the romance well. I felt the second male leads desperation and love for Shiyi more than I did for the lead male.

Committing suicide for love is just selfish and a lot of C dramas do this not just this one. You are basically leaving the person you love the most to live a lonely life pining over you.

There’s no kiss, nothing like that. Which is disappointing because I mean a kiss kiss is something so basic to show the viewers that the love that they have for one another is now bound for forever. The note he gave because he dies didn’t even I love you or something like..... he just let her be married and act all sad about it on the outside.
.

The acting sure was alright. Story has potential but actual overall disappointing didn’t meet my expectations. I did skimmed through the latter half lol f the drama because of this. The writer and directors did not give me anything to be more invested in the show. The actors did the beat they could with what they were given.

Please watch it for yourself however definitely not rewatching even if Allen Ren looked amazing.

Goodlooking actors can’t save a botched script

Well, this started of great and somewhere between episode 15-36 it lost its marbles like literally. there was no coherent plot. A lot of things didn’t make sense.

The amnesia plot was just the icing on a shitty cake I mean plot. The villains all seems quite cartoonish and under developed.

The acting was so so, I never felt like the FL and ML really loved each other. The side characters were okay. If you like political drama with romance this is not it. Thier first love scene was quite aggressive and came from nowhere! like there was no build up that led us there.

I really struggled to finish this! The Wu brothers were so handsome and so was the chancellor but other than that there was not much else in this.

Watch at your own peril or at x1.5 to cut down on the wasted time.

STEP BY STEP TO HELL….annoying Pat

Okay so i was really looking forward to this series because i loved lovely writer i thought Deehup will produce another banger. I was sorely disappointed, the trailer is misleading because i thought i was going to be in for a thrilling ride.

What i got was a lacklustre story, poor acting from Ben, i actually remember lol when he was squeezing his eyes hoping tears would come which never did. Daddy Jeng kept me going for a while but even he couldn’t keep me on this. I dropped it at after ep9. I couldn't stomach another 3 hours of this train wreck.

It’s a shame because i can see that the series had potential but just was poorly executed.

My favourite things about the show
-Daddy Jeng doing push ups and cooking.
-good cinematography on occasion
-Jeng and Jaab’s sibling relationship

What I hated
- Poor story telling
-Poor acting from Pat
- Pat was just an annoying character dunno if it is the way he was written or because of his acting my guess is its both.

Not sure about the end or whether i will go back and finish it.

Update. I have gone and finished it and to be honest I wasted my time. It was an awfully executed ending. Jeng again doing well with his acting, I couldn’t tell this was his first project.

Watch at your own risk ⚠️

This show was amazing. Enjoyed the realistic relationships between all the characters. Its a must watch With great pacing. It’s short so don’t expect all aspects of the web series to be explored however the drama did well to touch on a the issues that affected the characters.

The show was beautifully shot. It explores the subject matter from many angles form the victim and participants. It also looked at wider issues that affect people’s decision making.

I loved Dan Hee who was like a quiet pillar somehow just present and strong ?. I would recommend this show and would defiantly re watch it.

Story had potential

This show had potential but even my love for Sandra Ma could not keep me watching it . I see why others love it but it fell flat for me somewhere in the middle. The romance was initially cute and i love the ML &FL together however the romance was too slow for me. It’s the themes in some dramas that couples don’t stay together or have passion its all innocent however we are very much melenials and having been to china I know the reality is they are not as conservative as they make these drama’s to be. We have a doctor and policeman who may have spent most of their time in their respective careers so had no time for love but i feel that this ouch have been developed more in them both learning about relationships and love together. I was often confused by how direct ML and FL are in all other areas of their lives but were not able to do so in their relationship.
THE chief of neurology was ace i loved his character. Some of the medical cases were interesting.

IThe other thing that let them Down was the fact that they could have used more of the action storyline that they started with. IT FELT LIKE THAT WAS DROPPED SOMEWHERE and the focus became side characters who didn’t bring g the story forward. By the the time i dropped this show i was asking myself what is the story about and where is it going . THEY SUDDENLY INTRODUCED a weirded triangle... some of the secondary characters were boring .

OST was good.
I would not rewatch

What a Gem!!!

This show is amazing i have no words. Don’t be put off by the first couple of episodes and stick with it because you wont regret it. This show touches on everything and love it for doing so.

Gender sensitivity, promoting safe sex (Durex product placement, anyone?), showing different sides of the queer spectrum. Friendships, insecurities all the things that we go through. The one thing I loved most about this GEM of a show is that the ML were complete opposites in terms of societal pairings (Toh the weirdo geeky guy and Nuea the Hunk and popular guy) but this show managed to put them on equal footing while dealing with some of the relationship issues that we all go through.

I also loved how Toh and the gang would often directly interact the with audience by looking directly at us. I think they did that really well.. the older cast played their roles really well … i am just so impressed with this show.

This seemingly little show that came out of nowhere has managed to make us laugh out loud, scream our lungs out, cringe, get the fuzzies, cry and take us on a rollercoaster ride of emotions every single week while managing to highlight all these relevant themes as well. We love you and thank you, SCOY! ❤️❤️❤️. The team truly put a brilliant show together from actors to production to locations.

Wow- wonderful BL coming of age drama

This is a coming of age BL web series. I loved it. It had everything from the family drama, friendship issues, romance, discovering who you are and what you like. The relationship between Ye Linzi and his dad awww. The friendly reminder that being rich is not everything but having wonderful people who can warm your heart 💜.

I especially loved the relationship between Gu Hai and Ye Linzi.

The contrasting ways they showed affection. Gu Hai was more extrovert in his adnavances but with YeLinze he was subtle and showed how much he loved Gu Hai in his actions. It was sweet to see him be the more vocal and express his feelings. I especially liked the way he was worried when he was waiting for Gauhai in ep 15. He woke up and Gu was not there and braved the cold to wait for him outside so he could catch the first glimpse of him returning. Awww there were so many heart warming moments in this drama.

The character development and acting was really good. This was about two young men who fell in love. Soundtrack was okay. Rewatch - Definitely. It’s short and sweet and does not drag which is very common in Chinese drama’s as they tend to be between 24 and 60 episodes. This was just the right pacing for this story.

Season 2 please come so we can explore the other blooming romance the drama with the parents when they find it etc.

Johan/North for the ?with ?

I am a huge fan of productions from studio Wabi Sabi because they do their best to do justice to the novel and follow it which is amazing however I do think they could work on executing this a bit better. Comparing with another series where there are many couples gmmtv seemed to execute that better with perfect 10 liners, both this show and P10 has the same director however the way that he focused on stories for the couples were different. In P10 he was able to focus on each couple while also giving a good balance to other characters and couples in the show. Nonetheless, I found this show enjoyable to watch. I struggled with Ter and Hill but equally their story was a bit boring novel wise . Thier acting didn’t help either as I found they lacked chemistry and the intensity that I have seen them portray in other roles Pond for example in that 180 longitude drama or Earth in UWMA.

They were outshined by Bas and Maxky who did a great job with Johan and North. Suer, Nao and Thit also added the spice and humour to this series.

The music was meh 🫤 for me but take that with a pinch of salt as I am not really into Thai music and prefer C music more.

rewatch value- I would not watch the show again. I would watch a compilation of Johan/North scenes as I found a lot of the scenes with Ter cringe 😬

I look forward to seeing Maxky in more roles as this was my first one of his.

multiverses left me in in an unknow world

I couldn’t finish it despite my best efforts. this was a good plot just poorly executed is some parts and poor character development.

cliche roles for Boss and Nouel. they are literally playing the same characters as they did in LITA. it’s clear that as actors they have developed however MAMEs stories often leave a lot to be desired. she really romantics toxicity and behaviour in normal society that would be scary and unacceptable. it’s a theme with her she did this with type and tharn, don’t say no etc.

I try to watch each project for it’s on merits but mame makes it hard lol. 😜 Anyway I recommend watching and making your own judgement.

Terribly good-

Okay so i am guilty of being hooked by this show. I really liked the first few episodes however things got ridiculous in the last few episodes.
I was impressed by James’ acting- he has really good. Micro expressions.
The story has been done before but they didn’t do it better.
Non of the characters appeared to actually be in love. It seemed very disingenuous for me. People seemed to just fall in and out of love easily. Kim declaring his love and then all of a sudden seeming okay with it all. Long Fei declaring his love only after overhearing a phone conversation. Does it make it okay that he was blackmailing his BF for years. Elys declaring his love at the end of the episode.
Everything was wrapped up in a neat little bow that doesn’t make sense.
I wish studio Wabi Sabi had picked this up as they tend to follow the books more.

Despite all that i enjoyed the show it was terrible, I mean it was bad that it became good lol. It wasn’t boring and it kept me engaged.

Painful to watch

Despite my low expectations, I was unprepared for the utter awfulness of Gen Y 2. This offensively dull sequel feels excruciating from start to finish. This was just awlful, I have no words to describe how tedious this was to watch.

This series stretches a flimsy plot into eleven longwinded hours of tedious content. Finishing all the episodes has been a painful test of endurance, one that I overcame with rolled eyes, clenched fists, and gritted teeth. I’m proud of myself for not quitting midway, although I came close to falling asleep on occasions.

Watch at your own peril
